Still think Mcphees got back problems
Any time ball is below his knees he never looks like gathering it.

As for changes i see no need for any this week unless someone pulled up sore and is under an injury cloud.
Def no deboer this week unless crowls is bent over by MRP, as Deboer adds nothing on offense an is a liability with the ball, also there is no real defenders for norths that need to be shutdown.

Atleast Murphy can take a mark...

And that's about it. He wont put any pressure up the ground, he wont physically dominate contested play creating opportunities for others to clear, he'll go unsighted for 2/3 of the game,he'll have no more than the one token tackle. Further, he'll sit on the bench for decent periods because he can only play one position and he'll kick no more than than the 1-2 goals that McPhee would get.

Yea, but why not, at least he wont make that fumble that will have people like Brades calling for blood.

Let's not go nuts.

He did some good things, but also made some abominable errors.

Quite true - I guess I'm just sick of the vitriolic barrage directed at the guy every week. Fact is he's versatile and a good option to have for an emergency match-up if a key player gets injured mid game. And his skills are improving.

Probably no changes unless.... Broughton comes up.
Any news on his injury?

JVB was ordinary with his diposal by foot against Swans - maybe first game back in the wet .... would want to improve this week before Broughton claims his spot back. North have two small forwards who need to be minded as they will like Subiaco. Bradley played in his best position (which is normally MJ's) and stuck to his limitations.

Hill will not be so quite again back at the open spaces of Subiaco.

As with most people I'd be happy with no changes barring injury related.

I'd like to see Pearce back in rotations at the back (did he get elevated with the LTI's?) but it'd have to be for Van Berlo and without really knowing the Nth Melbourne line up I'm not sure it's worth it. Probably more first in for me if there's another injury before Broughton/Mcpharlin recover.

Btw anyone know how Ruffles is going? He's not listed on the injury list, I'm sure he's still a long way off but was just curious if he's back training or looking at playing at a lower level any time soon.

It would be good to see McPhee get dropped, but at present there are no tall players in the wafl who would be a better replacement for him, so we'll get to see him hack it up again this weekend.

it is easy to call for the blood of a player like McPhee from Adelaide when you dont have a membership. Isnt is Brades.:thumbsdown:

Isnt that the whole reason that we picked him up in the first place??? To give the team some depth whilst not giving up our awesome draft picks. I would say that if you suggest to ANY Freo fan at the start of the season that we would be 7 wins with 2 losses (No thrashings) that NONE of you would have believed it.

Get of McPhees back and back in the glow of the way that our team is playing at the moment. In the past we would have easily traded Pick 20 (Fyfe) for McPhee and another late Pick. Instead we have two awesome young players that we can build a team around.

Quit your bagging and be Happy!

I'd say keep McFee in. He's still not playing his best footy but he is getting better. He's got a big strong body and laid quite a few tackles against Sydney. We'll need the big guy against the Roos hard bodies. We should win easily though.

No mentions from the MRP this week for Freo. Some may have wondered about Crowley (again) for a possible high contact, but all clear.

Unbelieveably, no North players to serve any time. Anyone know much about Scott Thompson - did he play NAB cup? Any good?

I for one have been calling for him to spend a few weeks in the WAFL and unless he improves his skills dramatically over the upcoming games still hold that view. I am not about bagging him or any other player but every week a few players who have CONSISTANTLY been poor even when we are winning should come under scrutiny and another guy given a chance. Providing of course that we can make these changes and don't come at the expense of team balance etc.

From what ive seen looks like he could be a real good defender in the making.
The type of player i would like to see us get next draft even if it takes a high pick.
His only problem is he looks a tiny bit too short to be a gun FB or CHB.
Got the body size an skills to be damn good though.

just went to roos board to see what they had to say about him an saw this there http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showpost.php?p=17859226&postcount=36

Thanks for that Sman-21. I realise who he is now. His welcome to Subi as an opposition defender was an 8-goal effort from Super-Pav!

Let's hope Pav can repeat the lesson for the sake of all power forwards.

It seems his history would suggest he should under no circumstances be allowed near Ballas.
