If Ryder is ok I still reckon Frampton must come in so that Paddy can play forward.

If Ryder doesn't get up Howard plays forward. Cox is an issue down back for us but Howard could present the same issue for them. Howard is the only option on our list who is capable of kicking goals and clunking marks with any degree of reliability.
AJ got on the goal sheet but was just lucky. Shit himself too often and wasn't clean enough. Farrell about the same.

Farrel and Jonson should both stay. AJ kicked three and his pace will be even more valuable on the space of the MCG. Farrel was maybe a little quite but he has done enough over the 3 games to stay in. His composure and elite kicking are two things we absolutely need, not to forget also was great pace.

Though I agree we need another option in the ruck stock, I’m not confident throwing Frampton to wolves would make a iota of difference with this current game plan.
These players looked cooked and broken after last night. We’re our worst most enemy on the field with continual basic skill errors in crunch moments of the game. If we don’t win against Collingwood the season is all but gone, having to rely on other teams to make the finals.
That’s three game now lost in the dying minutes and chuck in the Freo debacle as well. So disappointed in this group.

Will be interesting to see what the game plan will be now. I would imagine Howard will have to stay back and play on Cox. Will we take this opportunity to play more of a slingshot style and try and lead up towards the goal, instead of bombing it to a marking contest? Had Dixon been playing I am certain that is how we would have played given Collingwoods backline injuries. We have seen the last couple of weeks this style of game by us for certain periods of time.

I would be worried about a Clurey match up. You would expect Jonas to take whatever 2nd tall they have playing there as he would probably not be a great match up for any of the Collingwood smalls. Stephenson and de Goey are both dangerous and DBJ would take one of them, but I wouldn't trust Pittard or Bonner to take either of them.

If Ryder doesn't play then you would expect Collingwood will get first hands on the ball. This has the makings of a disaster if we can't get our forward movement correct.

No. He is a ruckman that does his best work taking marks reading the play around the ground, handy set shot for goal but he is a ruckman that can rest forward. Play him there
