I think Frampton has to come in. If Ryder is not fit and we go into this game with Westhoff in ruck and Watts as our lone tall up forward we are well and truly cooked. There comes a time when you have to bite the bullet and this game is it.

I am more than a bit concerned about Paddy. His hip seems to flare up during a game so maybe having Frampton in the mix is a must rather than a maybe?
Frampton can always take a run in the forward line even if he doesn't play in ruck.

You don’t have a match ending injury 2 out of 3 weeks and be good to go the next week. If Ryder plays this week he has to play forward, can’t afford to go in with a ruckman who will spend a half on the bench because he has an ouchie.

If Ryder plays this week I’ll be furious. It will show we either have an inept medical team on match days or he needs to harden up. You don’t have a match ending injury 2 out of 3 weeks and be good to go the next week. If Ryder plays this week he has to play forward, can’t afford to go in with a ruckman who will spend a half on the bench because he has an ouchie.

Is hard, lose this week and it’s all but season over. Don’t beat Collingwood we need to beat Essendon well and rely on results going our way, to be sure of playing finals we need to win both.

We need Ryder for the rest of the year, pullling him may have saved him from injury and allowed him to play the next two weeks. If this is the case we must play Frampton as well to allow us to heavily manage Ryder in game.

Polec's value won't increase, in fact, there's a real risk in him copping an injury decreasing his value.

johnson i just dont see it besides his gimmies. it was a toss up between him and ferrell and i see more in farrell so he gets the nod

I would keep Johnson in and give him the same opportunity that other players have received in the past.

Ken will invoke the spirit of Ivan Eckermann and prop Paddy up against a point post to exploit Collingwood's defensive limitations. We kick to the pocket anyway so he won't have to lead.

Do you know what would’ve saved our season? Having a tall bloke standing at CHF in the second half or standing in the hole with 30 seconds to go. Lucky we went conservative with Patty (AGAIN) we might get another half out of him this week.

It was clear in the Showdown that Ryder was being managed. He came back too early from injury, has played through injury, and is now well and truly injured. This is the club's fault for having no appropriate plan B.

I still can't believe Ebert was expected to man-up on McGovern. Kane Cornes' analysis of the last 2 minutes is pretty revealing - if any of the players he mentions are serial offenders they really should be dropped. If you can't learn from mistakes then you're a liability.
