It would be farcical to debut a ruckman two weeks out from finals against one of the clear top 2 rucks in the league. It would also be farcical to go in without a ruckman against one of the clear top 2 rucks in the league.

Because of our own negligence earlier in the season, we've now found ourselves with a choice between one of two farcical situations. Ken Hinkley is getting what he deserves at the selection table this week.

Whether Ryder plays or not, Frampton has to play. Chuck him in the goal square ffs. We cannot go in with this current forward setup, we can’t score as it is without taking our only big brute out of our forward line. We don’t kick to leads for some reason so we can’t just fill our forward line with leading forwards (who must be instructed not to lead).

Writing that whole thing made me angry just thinking about how many issues we have at this footy club.

Earlier this year we had the opportunity to blood Billy, but we chose not to go down that path. So when Paddy went down we completely stuffed the team balance/structures by sharing the rucking duties between Dixon, Howard and Westy.
Even Ollie had a go!! Oh, the stupidity!!
