Ken has to wake up imo. He has to reinvent this side quickly and give it some real impetus and drive he seems to be stunned and left flat footed coming into this year and we have payed dearly for his over estimation.

I couldn't agree more with Lobbe to the bench when he is not rucking, that appears complete commonsense to me, ie ruck him ( I did say `Ruck ' him ) for most of a qtr, and then give Ryder a go for the last 5 minutes or so.

Neade's form at the Maggies has been far better than he has been given credit for, as has already been said he has that X factor that a player like Sam Gray lacks, he does need to tidy up his goal goal kicking though, but he definitely isn't Robinson Crusoe in that department.

Nothing against the Hoon, but in my opinion a team that is getting ragdolled as much as the Power atm just won't get value out of a lightweight outside accumulator, his time will come when the engine room is in better shape.

I hope Stewie gets a gig, he deserves it.

don't disagree, good post - Schulz looks very uncomfortable outside of the 50.

Just on Harvey though, will he make it? I'm dubious but I guess we need to find out sooner or later.

Taller (than Gray). Better user (than Gray/Cam). Quicker (than Gray). Harder (than Gray/Cam). Smarter (than Gray/Cam).

The depthchart of his niche role of HBF is already stacked, but he's proven to be a perfectly capable forward/midfielder at both SANFL and AFL levels.

Westhoff at CHB would be useless. He reads the play well etc. but wouldn't be good defending a leading forward etc.

Aaron Young in my mind, definitely has what it takes to be a top AFL footballer. Moore might make it, but i'm not sure. I have Young much higher on the list at this stage.

But similar to Logan at the tail end of 2013 he's a perfectly good depth selection (19th/20th/21st man picked) than the relative hail mary of picking someone totally unproven or woefully out of form as in the previous fortnight.

The only problem with this is that Ryder is actually giving us good value in the ruck (particularly at the centre bounces) and deserves more than a token 5 minutes each quarter.

We shouldn't be surprised that we find ourselves with this dilemma. Essendon supporters did warn us.

I like stewart in but has he been playing mid/half back in the sanfl? would be the equivalent structure/personnel wise of bringing sam gray in if we throw him in the forward line if he hasn't even been playing there. Dees have a tall-ish back line wouldn't mind neade in aswell somehow to crumb.

He isnt any use in the forward line at the moment. When was the last time he took a mark in a decent goal kicking position? The showdown early? Or Hawks game?
