newton omitted. id completley forgotten about him. i take it he isnt travelling so good then
He's doing well it's just that we've got Viney coming back in, he should be playing and Rohan Bail should be chained to the goal posts at Casey.

wow Austin and Arch injured and Butcher got omitted from the Maggies.

Butcher (and Yoey) aren't allowed to be omitted.

If they're fit they must play. Ergo, Butch must be injured.

I'm unsure how to comment without multiple use of the f-word. Seriously, S Gray kept his spot? I think the selectors have finally lost the plot.

A small back line.
Sam Gray won't look out of place at centre half back, when it finally dawns on Ken to try him there.

If there's one thing that has been shown about coaches over the years it is that they are not ready to admit to howling errors of judgement after one week. This can be the only reason for Sam Gray not being out. Despite his 12 disposal tally, 8 of them were uncontested and he was not efficient in most of the disposals he had. After saying that, he will now probably kick 3 goals as a sub against Melbourne. But I still would have selected Jake Neade or Andrew Moore over him.

Sam Gray ****!

Why kern! WHY! What has he done that justify him being in the best 22? Honestly Kern you have made some f**king terrible decisions this year.

Redden Round 2, playing Mitchell 5 out of 8 games, ah Chee and Amon sub 2 weeks in a row, white no sub when he is clearly under performing, playing Sam gray, keeping Sam gray in the team when he has done nothing, O'Shea coming in against Brisbane

Happy to see Stewart, Clurey and Broadbent come in. Sam Gray ahead of Moore and Young though? Yeah don't know about that.

Gray is likely to be given the green vest, but having one of Moore or Young in there would've allowed Robbie to spend a bit more time forward. Oh well.

Ding ding ding. The dropping of O'Shea after one week was the exception. Although there was Butcher after round 1. I'd clarify it as if you are a tall them perform straight away or get dropped. Small and there are enough interchangeable smalls in the team you can be shit for multiple games before you get called on it.

Nah the selections are fine. Ken rarely makes more than 2-3 changes per week and no point in giving Gray a game one week and dropping him next when no one has had had a SANFL run to show form.

Clurey for Trengove to help out in defence. Broadbent is in for Cornes, odd to add a HFB when you have lost a midfielder and particularly when said HBF was dropped for form, but he is quality and can move into the midfield.

Stewart for Ryder, we have lost a ruck but I guess Stewart covers him as a forward despite playing as a free roaming back and wing in the SANFL.

Not that I think there is a chance of this happening...but...I hope s.gray has a ripper game. We will then read things like 'wow!! Didn't think he had it in him'. Not that it's going to turn out that way though.

Looking forward to seeing Clurey finally. Hope he does well and somehow cements a spot.

Lol you wonder why i post negative.

Absolute joke of a selection..

Where's the hard bodies in the middle

I'm not a fan of Gray at all but I can see how they'd probably want to give him one more shot at AFL level. I'd imagine if he doesn't perform this week then they'd be happy they had given him sufficient opportunities to state his case.
Basically, they wouldn't feel comfortable cutting him at the end of year after only giving him the one game this year to make his case.

The main questions about the sub should be 1. who can we do without for the whole game and 2. who is more likely to do more damage in running the other team off their legs for the last quarter.

The answer to question 1 seems to be White or S.Gray and the answer to question 2 is White.

Still trust Kenny's selections. He must see something in Gray to keep playing him. How many times have you questioned Pittard, Ebert, Westhoff, Alipate, this person that person over the last 3 years.....

He stuck fat and lifted those boys. I think Sammy has a bit to show.

I took the sentence as butcher being out because of injury aswell maybe the tongue? If he did get omitted but where is he going to play or are we just resting him ?

It probably doesn't mean much but amon named on the left forward pocket :)
Good on clurey for his second game
Burgo mentioned a minor knee issue with Butch. Just precautionary rest.
