Showed that he hasn't got the balls to drop an undeperforming so called 'star'. How about making decisions based on getting embarrassed by bottom side Brisbane, or only kicking 5 goals on a perfect night against struggling mid packers Richmond, or losing all but 1 home game so far this year. Nah everything's fine, lets not make changes.
Team needs to lift as a whole. Making wholesale changes by filling the side with magpies players isnt going to help us win anything. Ken wants to win games still!

They're not magpies players they're port adelaide players and they have been in good form all year, as opposed to others who have struggled all year. Unaccountability breeds complacency, complacency breed mediocrity and we are only mediocre right now as unaccountability has certainly set in. We let a season drift out of control last year through unaccountability and complacency, we haven't learned and are doing the same this year.

I think Clurey got picked for his sensible hair cut

Considering his previous failures to get picked as an in-form key defender while we've had multiple first choice key defenders out injured, I'm sure he'd take that.

Who has been in good form all year? Specifics please.

Clurey has a 100% win rate at AFL level. Ignore the sample size, it's a good omen!

its obvious...summo...

stewart and young were our best players in the preseason, stewart has played well in all games except the eagles game where he got big numbers but seagulled a bit down back and the norwood game where he was knocked out in the first 5 minutes. finally they selected him, although it should have been much earlier in the year.
young, great preseaon, 22p 5cl 5tkl 1gl v sth, gets promoted, plays well as a half forward that spends some time in the midfield, plays more solely as a midfielder when wines got injured, didnt go as well as hoped but came back and 31p 9clr 3tkl 1gl. he has had a good year so far.
ahchee 23p 3cl 6tkl 2gl bog. sub, sub dropped, 22p 3cl 5tkl named bog, sub dropped, 25p 3cl 1tkl, never really given a chance, played well as a sub in all 3 games, never should have been dropped, been in good form all year.
moore 24p 7cl 5tkl. 27p 10cl 1tkl 2gls, umpire.... 25p 6cl 2tkl 1gl. yep unfortunately he missed a few games but obviously he is 100% fit and in ripping form, all year.
others like palmer and both logans have also played well all year as has dbj, but we know they wont get promoted yet.

neade, people say he is struggling, which is wrong, and while i admit he hasnt made the most of his chances his form in the last few weeks is enough to get him a game in the role as a small crumbing forward, which we so desperately need. last 4 games 11p 2tkl 3gls. 21p 6tkl 3cl. 17p 3tkl 2gls. 16p 3gls. what more can a small crumbing forward do, he is not going to get 30 touches in the forward pocket.

meanwhile the same 4 or 5 players have stunk it up all year but are left in the side because they have a higher pay packet.

Moore has not played enough and is developing a habbit of hanging off of packs waiting to be released. That's fine in the SANFL but he can't play outside in the big leagues, he is to slow. Young I agree with you, should never have been dropped.

Neade has kicked a few junk time goals. And aside from that provided some pressure. Not enough for a recall. Logan's played his last game of AFL, and the others are not ready.

Andy Moore is in Alice Springs as the travelling emergency

As is Young. Both went over. Magpies play on Sunday so they should be back for that game.

Very accurate assessment of PAFC Magpies form, of the games I have seen, imo.

Problem is ... Pick a number!! Which one of the 22 that played last week do you drop? Bar one or two, they were ALL crap!!

No, you make one or two tweaks, then back to team in to get it done! One or two good wins, and confidence will come back.

it hant just been one week, its been the whole year. there comes a time where you have to make the tough call, that time was weeks ago.

i think we will win comfortably tomorrow.

One ruckman works better for us we have had one tall too many in the side for mine we can work out who's of more value Lobbe or Westoff .

Whatttt??
One tall too many??
Ssssshhhh!
Don't let the Butcher lovers hear that for Chris's sake
I mean, don't we have a whole thread devoted to us needing an extra tall for um er structa or somethin?

We aren't too tall Jesus Christ.

We certainly weren't too tall when we were tearing Hawthorn a new arseh*le in the first half.

Last year we spent most games too short, sometimes horrendously so. Our current issues stem from having no plan B to combat teams that go hyperdefensive.

Very happy to grab hold of that right now: 4-5 sounds infinitely better than 3-6.....
