seriously you are justifying some ******* woeful selections. I was a Lobbe apologist but really. I think you were being disingenous with your "trade bait" - go hard all you like about right match ups but don't insult me with "will improve Lobbe's trade value" FFS
Yep, as if Ken will grow a set and trade Lobbe this year, for a second rounder, after turning down a first last year. Gutless cowards all round will leave it until there's a new coach or list manager (or Lobbe has been delisted at the end of his contract). Bloody hell, we tell our kids to admit when they've made a mistake and make amends, but these 'adults' are 98% likely to refuse to do that.

Butcher has five goals in three weeks. Dixon has 0 from his last three, one from his last four.

****.
Butcher is 25 and never been an AFL regular. He should be an automatic delistee at the end of the season.

I don't know why we brought him back into the team, or why we brought Mitchell, Stewart, Schulz and now O'Shea back into the team, but 4 goals in a training drill against Brisbane shouldn't change things.

He should be delisted and there's not much point playing him if were gonna delist him.

Fair sized melts though

5 years on our list for O'Shea, this is his and others last chance IMO. I'm starting to lose patience with these mid tier players, they got three weeks to prove themselves.

How is it a woeful selection? he performed last week ffs & whether you or I like it or not he's an experienced contracted player that may or may not still be here next year, if he performs well it certainly won't harm his trade value if we go down that path... of course he could play a mare and make you happy but we'll have to wait and see.
I didn't say that Lobbe was a woeful selection .. that wasn't necessarily my woeful selection comment.

I took offense at your comment on improving Lobbe's trade value.

I am saying that is a shit inference to make. Ok so are we clear. In my humble BF opinion (which weighs the same as yours) Lobbe's trade value will not ****ing go up one iota from one ****ing game.

Don't mind the changes - apart from O'Shea back in!

As much as I love Butch, let's be honest he was always going to be delisted so we may as well see what Trengove can offer up forward to see if the Ryder/Trengove tandem is workable for next year.

Trengove up forward ?

It's like poeple have never watched some of these guys , ever.

I can't even rememeber Trengove taking a mark in the backline , and you wanna see if he can become a forward ?

Trengove as a tall backman is a shutdown scragging spoiler.

Also , the irony of delisted a player who was never given a consistant go at it as he just improves his kicking , to play a backman with probably the worst ball drop on our team forward is crazy.

Put any idea of Trengove being a capable forward out of your mind.

Listen, and I'm signing off to hit a Shiraz or something similar after this but listen, I like Lobbe to a point.

And yes, he was due to come in at some point.

And also, rage aimed at him is probably a little unfair.

But listen guys, he got embarrassingly pantsed by an almost AFL level player 2 weeks ago.

But one good game in the jaffles is enough to get back in?

Regardless, and it's probably the red mist clouding my eyes but this just makes me somewhat enraged.

Player superstitions: Matthew Lobbe
LIKE most athletes, AFL players are creatures of habit.

Along with regimented training schedules and personalised nutrition plans, many players have their own pre-game rituals which help them feel consistent and focussed on game day.

While he doesn’t have any pre-game superstitions per-se, it’s all about game preparation for Matthew Lobbe.

As a ruckman, Lobbes needs to be prepared for the first bounce.

The tall man always heads out onto the field to watch the umpires’ warmup to analyse their bounce and get an idea of each umpire’s technique.

The devil’s in the detail, and Lobbes makes sure he's as prepared as possible!

THIS WEEK HOW ABOUT MAKING 'KNOWING WHERE IN THE ACTUAL FRIG THE OPPOSITION MIDFIELDERS ARE WHEN YOU TAP THE BALL SO YOU DON'T DROP IT INTO THEIR FIGURATIVE AND LITERAL LAPS'

Also, put "REMEMBER TO GET BOTH HANDS ON THE EXPLETIVE BALL" high on the list

Well Butcher staying in and performing well in dead rubbers would mean **** all too then right?

Has anybody got a link to selection tonight? I'm dying to hear the usual rubbish our coaching panel throw out. It's like listening to the captain of the titanic making justification as the ship goes down around him.

Can't blame Dixon for his lack of scoring opportunities. Perhaps if our midfield knew how to kick a football and make the right decisions our forward line would be more efficient.

Bassett said tonight that is the plan, along with Palmer.

It sounds like Trengove will be playing forward instead of Butch. I personally think that's a great move, we can get an idea as to whether Ryder/Trengove rotating as forward/ruck will work. Palmer deserves a chance and will play the mid/forward role of Ahchee. O'Shea in is a bit pointless, I doubt very much he'll be on the list next year, would have loved for Bonner to get a few games in this year.

Guys have earned themselves new contracts on the back of playing well late in a season & you reckon they can't attract trade value in a similar way Power Girl ? please

O'Shea? Really? Why not Bonner?

Good to see Palmer get a run.

Thanks for the entertainment over the years Butch. Our first ever sponsored player.

He's had 79 games to prove himself! How many ****ing last chances does he need!? Why are we giving out 'last chances' to a 79 game player who's about 10th on our HBF depth chart rather than a 31 game player who's one of only two fit KPF's on our list?
