It wasn't for the faint hearted out there today. Very contested and a lot of heavy body contact. If Jack Watts is cracking in and not taking a backward step in that environment he'll crack in against his old club without a problem.

Like for like DBJ replacement is Irra. At the members convention when Cripps went thru our list, under the Lock Down defender heading, there were only 4 players. 2 were DBJ and Irra. I can't remember who the other 2 were. I think they were a couple of taller defenders.DBJ finished the game with 'hamstring awareness'.
HBF stocks could be dwindling if it turns into hamstring irritation.
Wonder if Irra could get a run?
Took a few good contested grabs as well.He kicked 3.2, had 17 touches and looked really good. Credit to him, if he comes back in he has to play like he did today for the Maggies.

Yes he brought the ball to ground when out of position. That is the #1 thing I wanted to see from himPlus he showed more intent to attack the footy. That's what I wanted to see from him, he plays like that every week in the AFL side he will shine. We all know he has the talent.

If he keeps playing the way he's playing he may get a look in over Round 15 and 16Barry a chance of returning? Been on SC bench all year haha
Had a good game in the SANFL today but doubt he will be replacing anyone after a 50 point win. Would likely be first in if we need to replace someone with pace.Barry a chance of returning? Been on SC bench all year haha
It took him an entire quarter to get another touch after the applause, the moment clearly got to him.

Can't you just be happy Dougal is a permanent selection in the side?
If DJB is injured, Watts for DJB. If he’s not, make a tough call. Watts must play.
Agreed you can't expect everyone to have knowledge of football I guessPerfect post to explain why this forum does my head in
If DBJ is out, pretty sure we will almost certainly be seeing Irra.
I want to see Jonas and Watts back in, but I do not want Thomas or Marshall going out. How do we facilitate this?

thought the sameEven though the gesture was amazing, it would have been emotional for Todd. Pretty sure I shared this before , when my mum passed even though lovely when people spoke to me about it, it made me upset. It’s still raw and the reference would have trigger emotions for hi . I’m not surprised he disappeared, he will be better for it, onwards and upwards.
If Watts misses he has another week to wait before he plays SANFL which means he would miss 3 afl gamesMelksham - Pittard
Hogan - Jonas
Fristch - Howard/Clurey
Patracca - Houston
McDonald - Hombsch/Howard
Spargo/Hannan/Harmes - Bonner
+1 Westhoff/Ebert/Hombsch
If Jonas gets up I think we match up super well, if Jonas out AND Dbj we will struggle.
In: Jonas, Watts
Out: DBJ, Clurey/Ebert
Houston, Hombsch, Jonas
Pittard, Howard, Bonner
Watts, Wines, Polec
Boak, Westhoff, Marshall
R.Gray, Dixon, Thomas
Ryder, SPP, Wingard
Rockliff, S.Gray, Motlop, Clurey/Ebert
I think for Ballance, Ebert is the one left out. However can easily see Watts playing a couple in the twos.
I think Ken’s plan all along might have been to have Jack Watts primed to take on his old team this week.
