this is exactly the sort of game we traditionally lose. season defining, playing good footy, ever so slight shift in momentum - supporters just daring to dream a little. Normally we go out and make an arse of it all.

back to the mid rung, shit copping and general malaise of being a Port supporter post 2007 - cursing ourselves for falling for the same stuff year in, year out..

We dislike Nicholls as much as you guys! Hope he can manage to stay out of it and not ruin what should be a good game - respect Port a great deal!
It is not physically possible to hate any one as much as I hate Nicholls. I guarantee you will get a fantastic run on Friday. Will make a 2 - 3 goal difference.

Yeah, I'm worryingly confident about this. And if we're serious about finally taking our place at the top table of contenders, we simply can't drop this one at home to a fellow aspirant who just got their balls crushed by the Pies.

At some stage the mindset of "well, that wasn't ideal, but we're still in the mix and we have some winnable games coming up to make up for it" has to go.

It's statement time.

Would have liked to have seen Watts in, but there's no-one who could be dropped from last week's team in order to make us stronger with Jack in.

Nice luxury to be in a position to know that any one of the four emergencies could come in without melts. All four would get a regular game at many clubs.

100%

Lose and we have a wasted year with major question marks.

If we win we are doing our job and making amends for the dons and hawks, one step at a time

**** it would be nice to walk away from our home ground, winning, as the favourite against a contender...
Been wayyy too ******* long.
Carn prots.
when was the last time this happened? showdown doesn't count as crers were favourites. Richmond you could say but they were favourites until Dusty withdrew from the game.

didn't happen at all in 2017 or 2016.

Trengove to the middle, Wingard forward in the S.Gray role.
Would be a waste of wingard to throw him forward again. Been brilliant last 2 games in the midfield.

Drop our leading goal scorer and move Wingard from the middle where he’s been fantastic to the forward line where he’s been a borderline spud all season to accommodate a DFA from a side that missed the finals last year. Sounds good!

It would be wonderful if we could win s game like this for once. Would start to restore the faith.
