Id probably put Zorko just ahead of Horsely personally but yeah both guns. You dont come 2nd in the Sandover if you cant play.

Shaun Hart coached Zorko in 2008, what I want to know is why he wasnt pushing for his signing for 2010 VFL season? He knew how good he was. Hes been an elite player right through juniors and showing recruiters up big time...

Looks about right.

I'm really looking forward to watching Warnock have a huge game. He's had some big scalps this year. Hurley, Brown just to name a couple. I don't think any of the current Melbourne forwards should trouble him too much. Last year Brad Green killed us up forward. Hopefully Warnock can keep him a bit more honest than Tape did.

pretty sure we got warnock as a result of passing zorko up to brissy, iirc.

I meant in earlier seasons, why didnt we take him even as a non contracted player in 2010 VFL? Everyone knew how good he was but recruiters didnt budge.

Harty should have made more noise about it...

Warnock > Zorko :D

Odds proudly brought to you by Jaimee Rodgers at Sportsbet.

Gold Coast $3.40
Melbourne $1.32

Gold Coast 1-39 $4.00
Melbourne 1-39 $2.15

The line is 21.5 points $1.92

Melbourne's talent is pathetic, will be taking us at the line all day.

Official changes:
In: Rischi, Day, Aaron Hall
Out: Nil

Good to see Hally in but the Iles mystery continues ...

No Iles again? How does a player who dominates the reserves every week and averages 24 disposals in the seniors not get a game? His been alot better the most of our team. Why is riska an automatic in? He has done nothing all year.

The suns clearly aren't picking on form. I have no idea what is going on, it's pathetic. I'm sick of this team already and we are only in our second year playing in the big leaugue.

Gold Coast are a massive chance this week.

The Dees would list their three key tall structure (in the mould of Collingwood's) as Jamar, Martin, Clark. All three are out, along with 10 other players. Essendon's injury list is sitting 5 short of our 13.

Farcical season; hope its a good game.

Yeah quite strange about Sammy. From an outsider's viewpoint he is almost always in the best players list (A Grade or Reserves). Harty said in the NEAFL report that they've "given him a few things to work on". I wonder if that is code for "start working on finding a new club for next season"?

Is it reasonable to consider that while Iles has proven himself to be a good consistent player at AFL level he is not of vital importance to the teams success. Meanwhile in the seconds he becomes an extremely influential player and at this point has seemingly got our NEAFL finals chances back on track. This also gives us the chance to field youngsters in the AFL to prove themselves before the list is cut come years end. The fact that we have been playing reasonable footy whilst he has been out of the team also may not of helped his chances of earning a recall, I think if the games against Richmond and Brisbane had of been blowouts he may of found himself back in the side. Either this or I may just be clutching at straws.

Spot on. Not sure I have to add anything more. The fact that we've been extremely competitive lately when Iles hasn't been playing has not helped his chances. Why change a team very much that is getting the job done?

Combine that with wanting to scout just how far Patrick, Weller and such go, and it could be likely that we don't see him again for the rest of the season. Depending on injuries and such.

I think he's in our best 22 right now myself, but we have to get rid of 8 players at the end of the year. May as well find out if any of the candidates have AFL-level potential, thus give them more games to either make a case for them or up their stocks. We know Iles can handle the level. We don't know about the others.

Just having a look at their line up. I think Zac Smith might have another rare game where he could be the dominant man in the ruck. We'll need to take Sylvia and Green who are both named up forward out of the game. If they get on a roll, we could be in trouble.

Otherwise, I think if we can win the battle in the middle, we could be in for a good show.

I think the Demons workhorse is Nathan Jones, he has been excellent for them all year and would argue he should be in the 40man All Australian squad in my opinion.

Jones and Moloney in the middle we have to beat. Obviously we don't play any tagging roles, so we'll have to rely on guys like Hunt, Swallow and Ablett to just run off them and beat them at their own game.

If they get it forward, Green and Sylvia are the troublesome ones. Warnock will do a great shut-down role with one of them, though it still leaves another.

If we can get it forward though, I'd back Lynch, Day and Matera to kick us a winning score.

About time our boys really cash in and rack up a great score. Been lean lately, getting 100 plus points in the game should be a real target, along with the win.

Come on, you Suns, would love to see you get up two games in a row - you've been fighting hard all year, would be good to see it rewarded!

That and I'd like to see McKenna get some good fortune!

We've lost the last 2 games? o_O
