I'm just wondering if any of those calling for Collins to come in were at Rushton for the NAB game against Richmond. He looked well out of his depth in that game.

Will be a good'un in time but might be a bit early imho.

Was Bond interviewed? What did he say about our illustrious forward that has only kicked 1 goal in three games.

He was hardly on the ground from memory.

Or hardly memorable when on the ground.

Agreed his minutes weren't many but he had enough time to show something. Seemed lost, and I made sure to keep an eye on him as I have great hopes for him.

Just saying it might be a little early for Sam.

I mean he didn't even play a full qtr. That would be hard for any draftee : in fact I don't think there was even the right match up for him in defence.

He's what 21 years old, mature body...bring him in and try him out.

Just a bounty of platitudes.
Waste of 5 minutes.

Surely you'd shelve the platitudes until we actually win a game? I too think it may be a bit too soon for Collins but then again, he is 21 with 3 years of VFL under his belt so he's definitely better poised to impact at AFL level than your average first year tall.

they asked a few better questions at least but Bond is a master of political style answers.
I just can't believe they are going to persist with Mayne. The number one killer of momentum.

He's my buddy but you're right - he needs 4-6 weeks in the WAFL.

I'm concerned the Coaching Panel are becoming a little too subjectively and emotionally involved. It was clear at training today that the guy isn't in the league of most of the other players - Senior or Rookies.

I agree entirely. He needs to play WAFL for his own good. Try and get some confidence. He also needs to change the "routine" and get a haircut.

He's spraying them at TRAINING where there's no pressure - and we're STILL picking him when we are looking down the barrel of 0-4?

Sweet mother of holy crapness.

Cmon there's a lot of injuries atm, we need seasoned spuds out there.
Jeepers the term 'Spuds' is disrespectful. Some of the seasoned spuds as (Im sure you are referring to Gu, De Boer, Suban Mayne and perhaps D.Pearce) were good enough players tp help us make a grand final. A 'pull your head' to the above poster is definitely warranted.

A get over it is warranted. If you don't like the way the poster describes players, block him. Simple.

TBH, I am still harbouring some hope that he will come good. He is able to take a few decent inside 50 marks and we need more of that. The problem of course is the kicking :-(

I've posted this before. Forget about match sim or other training. The coaches should just pull him out and let him work on his kicking for a few weeks. Do 200 kicks a day. Get the technique and ball striking right again. Get it in the muscle memory and he don't have to worry about it again.

RTB did hint that Croz is a chance in last week's post game.

The term spud ,etc was used ad ifinitum on the WC board re Priddis. They where super knowledgeable as well . Priddis finished up with a Brownlow.

I want him to come good, we need him to come good. I just don't think he will come good in the AFL side. He needs to go back to the WAFL and get his kicking and his confidence back.

Luke was quite insightful on 6pr about how the pressure has likely built and built, and also about just how much Ross values effort in selection. But even Luke conceded that something has to give and that it's likely that we'll see new faces in the team soon.

Only hope it's not when it's too late to salvage the season.

Yeah. I am actually thinking of going even further and not even playing him in wafl, just work on the kicking and get it right. I just feel that putting him under match pressure (even wafl) when he is still working on the kick will be counter productive.
