i really hope post doesnt play, have seen nothing from the kid in 4 years and needs to go at seasons end. Miller will provide another contest up forward so hopefully taking some of the pressure off jack.
Hope dusty repeats his game against them last year and lets the hole team know hes back and means business.

Cmon tigers please win!

Could not agree more. He has had long enough to show everyone that he belongs at this level. Often he finds it hard at VFL level let alone afl level. If he plays so be it he will yet again show the football public he is not good enough and that he has no future with Richmond. Then maybe Madtiger and the others that continue to back him will finally come to the party and say how useless he is.

Sorry TT but I haven't written him off yet either. I know the signs are not that good so far but he's played one game, arguably in the toughest test the team's had all year and got monstered and panicked a bit himself. A few others were ordinary that night and survived.
But he's got all the physical attributes and skills so I'd like to see a little bit more of him before cutting. I know it's easy to say, but these tall kids need a little bit more time.

Post has shown glimpses over the journey that he has the tools to become a solid AFL player - question is, how long do you give a bloke to prove his worth in the AFL system?!

He'll be a 50/50 delisting come year’s end - McGuane finding a niche as a 3rd tall may squeeze him out. The footy department will have to decide if they think post offers more than a skinny 1st year player or a speculative state league player – In any case, the fact that Miller, Dericks et al have been getting games in front of him doesn’t bode well for his long term future!

He might be very very lucky and get 1 more year, only because we are still light on proven KPDs and he may be kept as an insurance policy because he's a good size, and reasonable overhead.

The word is that Petrie and Adams will play.

Cunnington in, Ziebell out.

In which case we probably need a third tall down back, meaning Post gets a game (he can swap with McGuane if required).

Who do you see going with Petrie, Hansen, Tarrant and Thomas?

Morris to Thomas is the obvious one.

I'd assume Rance to Petire and Moore to Hansen or Tarrant. I think Hansen, as he seems to roam around a bit more, which should suit Moore.

As for the third tall (say Tarrant), I can only imagine McGuane. Naming Miller and McGuane in the same line up is a strange move (forced by injuries I guess), but one can only assume Miller will be the backup ruckman, playing forward. In which case, I don't see room for McGuane up there, forcing him to go back.

The only other option is for us to ask Dea to play tall, which I can't see working.

I see Post playing down back for the extra height....Can swap with McGuane if things go pear shaped.

Could do I guess. Can't say I'm a big fan of McGuane and Miller playing in the same forward line though.

Think it may be McGuane down back. We need a defender full time, and if Post is to be resting ruck, he's more likely to play up forward IMO

Hardly an ideal situation, but with Grimes, Griffiths, and Batchelor injured, we are pushing the proverbial up hill looking for tall backmen

Do we think Webberley's role may be different this weekend.?I must admit I almost fell off the chair when i saw the team because he Definately didn't look like an AFL footballer last weekend, but I'm intrigued to know what the LEVEL HEADED people on the board think of him being in the team this weekend?

Inclusions are good. Miller will provide a contest, and will look to give it off if outside 35m on a set shot. We really miss King, so I would assume Mini Maric will stay in the side as a defensive forward (or he will have to learn to quickly become one). Can't see Post getting a game, he does not deserve a senior call up. I would have liked to see Brown replace Graham. I expect Martin to make up for his mistakes and put in a great game. Jackson is a handy inclusion. Webberly is not. I would have really liked to see Willie Wheeler on our list - a handy type.

Interchange would be - Ellis, Jackson, Mini Maric and O'Hanlan.

you would be very surprised if Gus or Webs survive

For the third emergency, IMO should be Miller, but they have him listed in the team proper, and this usually indicates he's in

I'm starting to think we should rest everyone this weekend according to the North board, anyone would think we are playing an in form Hawthorn or Collingwood the way they are carrying on. They have won one more game than us with a piss easy fixtureo_O

They have won twice away from etihad this year - V GWS in tassie and V GC ( 7 points) in canberra.

This would be a lay down misere for them at Etihad but has to 50/50 at the G.

Still extended bench isn't it? So Webbs still may be emergency..and likely IMO.

As Capt says here, he is on the extended bench, and possibly only, as mentioned elsewhere, because of lack of anyone else. I was very surprised to see him subbed off so early last week. But from where I was, I couldn't get a gauge on what he was or wasn't doing. The fact he was subbed off tells me he's very unlikely to play this week, unless we were to lose another runner before the game.

Be fair, plenty of them are nervous about playing at the 'G and our ins. A lot of the rest is just the usual BF bluster.
