Sickens me how often we've disgraced ourselves on Neale's day and against Collingwood in general.
Pretty awful record over the years. We even managed to lose in our premiership year. Bless our cotton socks.

In fact, aside from falling over the line by 4 points last year, we haven't won it since 2017. Surely the record of a TRUE DYNASTY TEAM IN IT'S PRIME.

Neale deserves better than us.

I am so sick and tired at playing at the MCG on Kings Birthday every season, we always lose against Collingwood on that ground! :madv1:

last year in particular was one of the most spineless performances we've dished up under Goodwin. Absolutely embarrassing.
Considering the narrative around the game we built up, it was pretty spineless

I am also not about this final round vs Collingwood games either, i've never had any good memories of those

Pies own us. Think I'll watch the sliders go down then turn it off. Another predictable spineless performance on the big stage coming up. We should all be pumped for this game, but we've played like c* in this game far too often and the Saints game have left the supporter base as flat as a pancake. Neal deserves better.

Putting a random idea out there - Langdon should tag Daicos.

Reasons: He seems to be playing the 'ANB role' (that it seems like everyone has been labelled with). Has the tank and legs to go with him (Claz obvs doesn't). Has had middling form, and Goody like to use the tagging role as a means to find form again. Stopping him helps limit the damage - We'll likely still get smashed given we are the complete opposite of them in efficiency terms. Means we could actually go with Langford and Lindsay permanently on the wings.

Goodwin re goalkicking:

"We're just not seeing the results that we need to see right now," Goodwin said.

"We're confident that we will get the change and it's one of those things that you only see over time.

"Right now we're in a process of change and we want to make sure that we give it the time to see the change that we need.

"We're confident we're going to get that."

It's alright everybody, just give it time :$

Is he playing that role? Still looks sole wing that pushes into both arcs to me? Rather than a half forward that works between them

He doesn't seem very shut down to me, and going off when we experimented with him in the guts Daicos could really expose him in traffic in there. Like i hate how highly rated his is but he's good at losing his man in traffic, you'd need a very experienced tagger that'd follow him anywhere comfortably, Langdon while he has the tank he doesn't scream that to me.

On a random note with Langdon, is it just me or does the ball always seem to bobble out of his arms or release easily? I swear sometimes we could get an easy stoppage out of him and he just lets it go when he gets tackled or someone bodies him

How tf do you spin goal kicking inaccuracy into this nebulous 'process of change' waffle.

I watched that press conference expecting to be infuriated and wasn't left disappointed.

All fair points.

On Daicos, I think stopping him makes a big difference. In their two losses he wouldn't have been in the top 5 best for the Pies IMO. And maybe the inside/outside thing would need some co-ordination but that's not uncommon in modern tagging. I don't think there's anyone else capable of doing it. Clarry wouldn't have the tank or nous, Viney not playing, McVee needed in defence more than ever this week, other option could be Rivers I guess, but I'd rather sacrifice Langdon than him.

In terms of wingers, I reckon we've had Langford just about full time on one, and then a mixture on the other, and I'm keen to get Lindsay on the other wing more so getting Langdon out the way has lots of bonuses.

I spared myself and just read the article lol. Can't do it anymore
