Hinkley isn't going to be depth. It's not depth when you are in the best 22. And Hinkley will be that in the coming years.

We should almost definitely trade Hinkely. He is shit, pure and simple. Regardless of his skills, he is a soft ****, and doesn't deserve to be playing WAFL seniors, let alone AFL.

If we get a 3rd rounder or better for him, we should definitely do it - as he is a certainty to be delist material in another year or so. Given the situation of the upcoming drafts, he would be borderline for mine staying on the list next year. But the scraps with him do help his cause.

Just to let everyone know, I have nothing against Suban. He will be a great player for Fremantle. For a first year player he has been excellent. All I'm saying is that he tends to go missing a bit, and that he could benefit from having a rest in the WAFL and by also 'dominating' a game at that level.

I actually agree with this. He could do with a game where he gets 20-30 touches and kills it with his kicks. But no way he will be dropped for a Victorian game at the MCG.

Knowing Harvey, I would expect him to bring in more kids, not less, to play this game in front of a big crowd at the G. And that's how it should be!

He would be lucky to get a 3rd rounder when you consider Warncock was a 2nd.

That's exactly what I was getting at. Instead of him getting around 10 touches, a game where he can dominate with 20+ touches and where he has more time to be precise with his kicking would be beneficial in my opinion.

I suppose playing Collingwood at the MCG is a big factor though, and considering we don't get to play there very often, it would be good to keep some of these guys in. But the same argument could be said for Pratt and Ruffles, and they are in pretty good WAFL form. But as long as we stick with kids and don't bring back Gilmore, Murphy or Head then I'll be happy.

I agree that a statement needs to be made to both Mcpharlin and Mundy. I doubt it will be considering our lack of depth but it should be. I would rest Pearce even if he is available because going into a game against a fast running team, with a slight hamstring strain isnt very smart IMO.

Outs (I'd like to see): Mcpharlin, Mundy, Pearce
Ins (I'd like to see): Ballantyne, Headland, Ruffles

Outs (what will probably happen): Pearce, Walters
Ins (what will probably happen): Ballas (if fit), Headland

I think we have enough backs with Tarrant, Grover, Dodd, Broughton, Suban, Mcpharlin (backline or dropped), to cover Collingwoods forwards. We just need more forward options which Headland and Ballas would provide (and also Ruffles possibly).

As supporters I can see ourselves getting impatient over the next couple of years. And though its a bit unfair to say that Hinkley or Foster or whoever doesn't look like a player in a tilt for a premiership at this early, it doesn't mean I dont hope something clicks and they do more to enforce themselves onto a game. The majority of the other new players (that have played more than 2 games) have shown something extra than just getting possession. This forms a great nucleus of younger players and the expection of the newer players rise. And so it should, it creates standard, and when thinking about a premiership team, 95% of it has to be quality. Im just sick of handbag stats whores.

Johnson wont be fit, he was 2 weeks away this week.
DJ is a 50/50.

Surely with Bradley, Foster and Campbell they are being aforded the same as Murphy was at the start of the year and give 4 weeks to proove worth.

That being said Mundy and McPharlin would be my choices to be ommitted however I dont think there is anyone we can bring in.

I think Walters deserves more time, and I heard that Pearce tweaked his hammy so I would think he'll go out and Hinkley would come in.

We ALL want to see Balla's debut hope this kid lives up to the hype.

I see what we did..... Didnt want to play Ballantyne in the wet... so we put him in cotton wool and i mean really... who wants to goto Adelaide anyway ;)

Against Geelong they thought... could... but lets save it for next week;

The MCG, Home of AFL, Big crowd, Saturday day..... Thats what they are saving him for.

I don't care who goes out as long as;

IN: Ballantyne

:D

Theres a lot of Mundy hate out there. He did find it hard to work his way into the game yesterday, but I think he tried all day. I'm not sure who he played the majority of time on, but I know he played time on the likes of Bartel and Chapman. Everyone is saying he dosn't try or he looks disinterested, thats bullshit. I think the real issue is that he dosn't have enough of a tank to run out the whole game in the midfield. His good games this year have been those where he has rested in the forward line.
Everytime the camera was on him yesterday in the second half he was blowing very hard.
And all those who say trade him, At your own peril, I don't think you would get a second round pick for him (What I think he is definatly worth), and he will go on to be a very good player with another club. I think players this age are pretty important to hang onto as we don't have too many good ones, and if we trade all of them, then all our players are going to be the same age when we start developing, which also means we will loose them all at the same time!

My buddy Pearce has superhuman powers and is available for selection this week.

You think with the plethora of small forwards collingwood have right now, you would keep the defender in over an extra attacking option.

Try picking players that are fit champ. 4/5 of your IN's are not.
