Same. If even my wife goes mental at our kick outs, then there must be something dogs-balls-in-the-moonlight standout wrong.

It didn't improve at all. I think the issue is that we have designated kickers for that purpose. By the time the closest has gotten back to the square, the oppositions defensive press is set and we're left with the long and line method. I'd like to see whoever can get the next ball in hand be the kicker, get it moving quickly before the defensive zone is set.

But I'm not a coach, so shouldn't comment, I'm sure there's no way it could be improved if it's what we're already doing.

It's like we're the only team who doesn't know you're allowed to play on straight away from a point.

We're probably the only club where opposition teams prefer to bank the point rather than have a throw in from the point post. They know they'll get the throw in 30 seconds later and have an extra point on the board.

Not really kick-ins related but it did remind me of something. Has anyone noticed how our players seem to be amongst the few in the league who after taking a mark in our forward fifty don't try to improve the angle by going inwards as they walk back to take the shot? I see a lot of players from other teams try this and even when the umpire tells them where the line is they just walk part of the way instead in the hopes that the umpire won't bother pointing it out again, I suspect some even pretend not to hear the umpire at all for the same reason.

Good pick up!

Once Jenkins actually had to be straightened up by the umpire. He'd made the angle worse for himself.

Maybe we should nab Schulz as our goal kicking coach next year?
If it was me every time the umpire looks at the goals i'd shuffle in, point to the goals to say come one ump, shuffle some more.

Yep. This is xxxxxx maddening from the Crows! Every fan knows the umpires will wave a max of twice to come onto the line, and then give up. The other 17 clubs know that pointing, shuffling, (and then slyly moving back out again) is all the umpires require, but our club is ever happy to fully please.

The other 'up my nose annoyance' is how the Crows almost never crib one cm over the mark, whereas all other teams (especially Hawthorn) move way over and then encroach further with sideways movement. Frustrating.

There is zero point in bringing in Lyons, he has been weighed, measured and found wanting, same as Martin. Good state league players only.

Kerridge continues to not meet standards, apparently. Not sure we'll see him any time soon.

Cheney will return if over his back injury and Henderson will push up to the wing. The only other potential in with any kind of SANFL form at all is Atkins.

In: Cheney
Out: No idea

Out: Matt Crouch ?

That's where he sits for me too. Certainly an elite player, somewhere between the 5th-10th best Crows players of all time.
Of those three only rutten would be top 10? I think

So you're finally conceding that Nathan will be in the two's this weekend.

Still no comment on vB's game last Saturday? You may not have caught up with the fact that he was dragged last Saturday night. Hard to tell really, there was little difference in output.
