i'm not saying i like weideman but are we really going to celebrate brown because he had 1 good quarter and 3 terrible ones again? just because he usually plays 4 bad quarters. how low do we set the bar for Ben Brown?

Yeah apparently the way to fix the least effective marking side inside 50 due to the way it's kicked in is to dump an 18 year old in one out. Genuinely one of the worst calls read on here.

I'd like to see JVR at some point, but billing him as the solution to our forward woes is comical.

He's averaging 11.2 disposals, 4.2 marks and 2 goals a game at VFL level, playing against state league footballers. For comparison, at VFL level over the last two years, Weideman is averaging 16.3 disposals, 7.7 marks and 3 goals a game. As we are all too well aware (well, most of us are), it's a completely different level, and throwing in JVR against good opposition in massively important games as the main key forward is almost the worst way you can start the kid's career. You need at least Brown and Jackson next to him to take the main KPDs – even so, I doubt he'll debut this year.

Would not be opposed to the Bedford and Spargo double drop for Laurie and Chandler. Sparrow is fine

I’d just like to point out that I was the first to build an altar to Ben Brown. Every night I grate a carrot and empty out a 1L carton of Macroorganic Soy Drink as a sacrifice in his honour. It’s concerning that supporters such as yourself are only beginning to realise this now. I was onto it weeks ago. It’s yet another proverbial Tofurkey feather in my cap.

More I think of it, the more I don't understand why we haven't brought Tomlinson in to try him in the TMac role.

Yes he has stunk up the joint down back this year, but he has always had versatility and a good enough fitness base to run up and down the ground all day. I'd like to see him have a run, not at Brown's expense, but in place on one of the small forwards. Experimentation time is now. Also potentially frees up a Petty cameo up fwd.
