I reckon Trengove will be our 1st ruck with Howard up forward as well as being the 2nd ruck. Westhoff will probs roam around the ground as a spare man like he normally does. If Howards tank goes on empty you'll see Westhoff helping Trengove.

Over on our board we are saying West Coast are the team we think could possibly drop out of the 8.

If we lose to you guys this weekend then West Coast may be finals bound. None of us want to see that!

I'll be cheering you guys on later in the year when you play the Eagles. I'm sure if you guys cost them from making the finals it would be sweet.
Serious question... out of 100 % game time. How much of the game will dixon pinch hit in the ruck as you guys only got young guys left in howard and Frampton. Ryder and lobbe are not available obvuously.

I'd hope it's 0%. We'd want to keep him up forward as much as possible. Trengove 70% and Howard 30% would be my preference.

This is true. But in that case maybe your team should have beaten the Eagles. Here's to another close loss to the Power.

Trengove has been doing majority of ruck with Westhoff and Howard in there sparingly
Wines has more hitouts than Dixon so far this year

Yeah I have a feeling fluffing a 3 goal lead in 10 mins vs Carlton as well as losing an "8 point game" vs West Coast may cost us in the long run.

If I am you I will be more worried about Melbourne and Carlton.

What is everybody's expectation of this game?

In the context of the way this season as panned out and what the club is now trying to salvage I think it is a very important game.

A bad loss will knock the confidence back after two big wins. The youf need to know that they can perform against decent sides as well as the cellar dwellers. An "honourable" loss ( eg <20 pts ) would be ok but a win would be huge IMO.
with the mind set were on. I expect freo to win. Port have been struggling. Freos form has been good despite beating 2 bottom sides. Port have struggled outside of SA. Hell they have lost some home gamea too. Still If freo are going to win, they have to attack from the get go.

Its going to be a great second half of the season!....When I do the ladder predictor using multiple scenario's, I have Port, North, Bulldogs and West Coast all fighting it out for spots 6-9...Some interesting games coming up :)

Think Barlow should take on Boak. Always a good psychological win when you can take out the opposition captain out of the game.

Boak hasn't been great this year so Barlow should be able to work off him and get some ball too.
Tagging Boak is pointless, he already has little to no impact on the game.

I reckon it's gotta be:
Out: Hannath
In: Pav

Hannath deserves another shot over Clarke but we'd be too slow without Clarke. Clarke needs to be told to do something or get out. For me Smith get's another opportunity.

When i do the ladder predictor we make the 8. I feel i may be a little too optimistic in some of my predictions though.

That's the last thing we need imo as it will keeps us in mediocrity for years.

I hope we win the games against the top 6 teams, but I want us to tank to the bottom 10.

Since the year is a write off I rather we get a good pick so we can challenge strongly next year.

Unless we trade the pick for a ready made player, highly unlikely that an early 1st rounder, as opposed to a mid first rounder, will have any influence on us challenging next year. I'd rather try and knock off a few top 8 teams

Clarke barely gets out of a slow jog nowadays. There would be no difference noticeable in pace.

Out :Clarke
In: The Great Man

I'm expecting another win. Port are perhaps the most mentally fragile and fickle side in the competition (barring Brisbane). They are a shadow of 2014 and have a habit of regularly losing games they should win, at home and away.

Freo finally starting to click and despite having the worst injury list in the competition, have shown enough in the past three weeks with their young kids to show that they can play quality and more consistent football. Plus, being at home should considerably favour our boys.

just to be devils advocate, we consistently fallen to pieces in disposal efficiency when faced with the kind of pressure around the ball that Port will bring so it remains to see if our improved ball movement of the last 2 weeks is simply a function of the lesser opposition or if the confidence gained from those games will transfer through.
Also I think we've looked more paralysed with uncertainty at home than away for some time now.

Agreed, we need to re-stock. Not just for next year but for the next 5 beyond that.

That said, i'm not to worried. We beat two truly, abjectly awful sides. Port are not as bad as some are suggesting, and I don't think our improvement the last couple of weeks, while impressive and promising, is going to bridge the gap between our previous results and winning against genuine opposition.

Pav in for Hannath (Clarke is clearly the superior tap ruckman) and possibly a small for a tall to combat Ports small brigade

Clark must be out for Hannath, All we hear is effort effort effort (Its all we ask)!!! Clark gives none, he avoids physical contact at the rucking duels and walks around the ground looking like he doesn't want to be there. Give it to someone who does
Give Hannath a chance............. Everyone else has come along brilliantly so far.

PS :- Would love Langdon and Grey in there as well..............

Mayne possibly out with a quad. One would assume Smith stays in if that's the case.
