Some people still have a hard on for Clarke after years of mediocrity. Hannath has a bit of griffo about him.

there was just one bit of play though where Clarke received in the back half and effortlessly hoofed it about 60 metres. He has a great leg and when he used to jump he could really mark too. One has to wonder where his knees are at and if he is that bad why don't they put him in cotton wool for the year and try to get him right for next year.

Tabs looked a lot less mobile after he did his ankle. Did Ross mention anything in the presser? Wouldn't surprise me it was jabbed and he went back on, he played like it. If so might be Pav for Tabs unfortunately.

Tabs is in ripping form, but no point playing him injured. Give him a couple of weeks (with the bye) rather than playing half fit - I hate seeing players running around with stuffed ankles.

Ross said no injuries in the presser

He's only contracted until the end of the year.

He seems to play well in the WAFL - does he jump when he plays for Peel?

Salim reckons he's been the match winner a couple of times this year albeit against ordinary opposition.
Perhaps they are figuring out if he can be any good going forward before offering him a new deal or maybe he's trade bait.

I wish he'd make up their minds for them.

Well he wasn't paying attention then.

Tabs was clearly a bit off for a bit there. Might not keep him out, but his ankle was sprained. I know coaches don't always call that injured, but by real world definition, he was injured.

By injured, in the pressers Ross is referring to players that are certain to miss games. It happens most weeks for us. Remember Suttcliffe did the same two weeks ago, limped off with a badly sprained ankle, came back on and struggled with it but came up the next week

The way things have been going this season its a lay-down misere that Tabs will be injured for next week.

Pav to replace Tab

Hannath was average, clutching at straws if you think he was OK. Neither ruck men showed anything. Did they take a mark between them?

This is true, so i'll go with the bloke who was actually trying.

For the avoidance of doubt, not Clarke.

Tabs has had the ankle problem all year, probably just made it flare a bit

He is always limping around the ground towards the end of games

Players sprain their ankles all the time. 99% of the time it doesn't keep them out of next week's game.

I thought Tabs hurt his hip not his ankle when he landed heavily in the marking contest in the goal square because he kicked the ball fine . If he had injured his ankle badly there was no way he would have been able to kick a footy.
