Do Port even have a ruckman? Do we even need one?

Not so poor.Poor Ed Langdon!
I thought Tabs hurt his hip not his ankle when he landed heavily in the marking contest in the goal square because he kicked the ball fine . If he had injured his ankle badly there was no way he would have been able to kick a footy.
If we take out Clarke, who rucks? Hannath?![]()
I think that Pav will come in for Smith .Hannath was dead ordinary but we need two ruckmen because there is no way Clarke could ruck all day on his own .
Smith did contribute but Bribane is in such a terrible state of disrepair .
Lachie Neale certainly struggled with the hard tag in the first half but he responded well in the second half.
I don't see the downside to giving Smith another game. Hannath either. We're here to find out what our fringe players can bring at the highest level. So give them a chance. Clarke would be my out for Pavlich.I agree with all of that. The Brisbane defence was non existent and Smith was good but not great. He'd have a totally different challenge on his hands against Port.
It could be good to give him that challenge to see how he goes but I think the club and the WAFL watchers have seen enough to know how it would turn out. Is Pav certain to return?

I would like to see Tanner stay in too. I think we could get away with one ruck and having him pinch hit. Get him involved in the game, smash into opposition players, cause them some hurt.

RTB was at the Peel versus Subi game for about a half (I was there with Salim and Clem) and Clarkey went well and Peel won.Ross mentioned that he was pleased with him in one of his pressers during the week. Salim mentioned that Clarke did really well in the win against the Sharks the week before.Salim reckons he's been the match winner a couple of times this year albeit against ordinary opposition.
Perhaps they are figuring out if he can be any good going forward before offering him a new deal or maybe he's trade bait.
