If Clarke doesn't have a good game, Hannath will come in until Sandi is fit.... And then I don't expect Clarke to wear the purple again this year unless injuries hit us even worse.

Some people still have a hard on for Clarke after years of mediocrity. Hannath has a bit of griffo about him.

Hannath is slow and can't ruck. Griffin at least is competitive in the ruck.

We've got Pav and the others are too old.
We've also got The Anvil MK ll.
Should also remember Darren's potentially game winning kick for goal in the Demo Derby.

I meant we steal a time machine and draft them all as 18 year old's....:drunk::drunk::drunk:

Hypothetical - would you still draft Hase?

Very pertinent Q to some of the debate on here about the best way to blood youngsters.
I always believed Drum played Hase too much as an 18 year old.I know he was mature beyond his years as a footballer but he ended up with a back injury which he carried for his career.
In my mind it's debatable whether greater physical maturity and a more calibrated exposure to AFL pace and power might have allowed him to avoid that injury.
I get that his debut was as good as any seen, but because he came in firing as a kid,he was physically targetted by some of the AFL thugs.
Or maybe I've made it all up 'cos I wasn't that keen on Damien.;)
I like to think he would have had a longer more productive career under RTB.

Port Wins
St Kilda (12th)
Essendon (18th)
Richmond (13th)
Brisbane (17th)
Melbourne (10th)
Collingwood (14th)

They are an average team at best. If we can play 4qtrs of good football we are in with a good chance.
Looking at that list, we'd be the kind of side they'd beat.

We'll be under a lot more pressure this weekend, but for morale, we absolutely have to win.

As I have said on the forum before - Hase had the best debut by a player I have ever seen no one comes close.

His talent was undeniable but what I think he would admit in hindsight is that a more professional club and a more professional Haselby would have seen him become one of the all time Freo greats.

This could be a cracker game of footy. Our efficiency has been excellent last two weeks, will be interesting to see if we can maintain it with the extra pressure port will bring, good insight to see were we truly are.

Port are rubbish, at full strength I think we would smash them. They have a team full of cameo players like that spud Westhoff who show up when they feel like it, lolworthy that Hamish Hartlett was a pick 4 as well.

This was one of the reasons I disliked mark harvey. He prematurely ended hases career as a 30 year old on 210 games. he easily could if gone 2-3 years and played 250 for us.

Robbie Gray is a star though, may be a massive twat, but still a star
