Prediction Changes v Port

Lecras surely must have been carrying an injury for the last 6-8 rounds.

His preseason form and first 6 games of the year were absolute vintage Lecca, he was the reason we won many of the early games.

It's amazing how we all, including myself, have turned against him so quickly. I'm hoping he finds fitness and form as he can be the difference in September.

Gotta keep Karps in the team though!

Let's just label anyone unsatisfied with the current changes as "melting", despite the fact they are just wanting the best for the team and the future.

We aren't winning a premiership this year, Priddis and LeCras aren't part of our future and aren't in any form that warrants them to come in for their "leadership" or consistency of performance.

How is Priddis a better option than Partington?

Priddis has no future, out of form, last week proved he's not a vital cog of our midfield and against a quick attacking team like Port offers no coverage.

Partington is part of the future, is in excellent WAFL form, can start learning how to be part of the midfield, can learn where he's at against a strong AFL midfield.

Partington won't make a big difference this week I'll admit, he's a fringe player, but he deserves a go, Priddis and LeCras are getting a game on name alone.

I'd debate that people posting "Go Port" are wanting the best for the team.

I'll admit your post didn't deserve to be lumped in with the melts. But it was an overstatement.

Which would be fine, If the guy being selected ahead of him wasn't one of the weakest midfielders in the league.

It may have something to do with defensive running too - the specifics of it I can only speculate. I would have picked Partington over Masten too but the only counter argument I can think of is that we wanted to avoid a debutant in the same midfield that was also missing Priddis.

The other thing to consider is that if Karpany wasn't playing so well Partington probably would have debuted by now.

It doesn't explain why they have preferred Venables and Mutimer so far. Partington didn't crack an emergency spot even after 3 goals and 22 possessions (and solid form statistically prior to that).

Simmo has said Parto is ready just last week but it appears Simmo has no spot available and is content with Priddis , Mitchell and Shuey ..

I thought lacras started off the season in great form and dropped off a bit due to injury? I think the only problem was his conversion.

The last time he kicked a goal it was a bag of four against Port Adelaide. So there is a glimmer of hope that his poor form was injury related and it will be interesting to see if he improves this week with no excuse.

Hoping Lecras boots 5 and finds some form, Priddis finds something and we dominate all day. This board absolutely revels in putting the boot into veterans who have bled blue and gold for a decade or more, and the few folk who are hoping "player x gets injured lel" for what ever reason should **** right off. Garbage form

Has anyone actually said that?

If both Ploddus and LeCrab play it is both disappointing and predictable. Simpson has repeatedly shown he doesn't have the balls to make big decisions, as evidenced in his first year of playing Cox, Lycett and Nic Nat in the same side.

Anyone can see the game has passed Ploddus by and it is like having 21 players on the field when the opposition have the ball.

LeCrab has been so out of form it is embarrassing. It should have to prove play some decent football with East Perth to earn selection again. Simpson is definitely creating a divide amongst the squad by continually playing favourites.
Do we really need the LeCrab and Ploddus shit?

Seriously.

Ah yes, our current form has been shit. We aren't a chance for the premiership this year, even though we beat the reigning premiers in Melbourne last week and a top 2 side 3 weeks ago.

We're as much a chance as anyone in the top 8.

Nice respect shown to a couple of decorated veterans of the club.

Debate the selections all you like, I just don't think we need that shit for our own players.

I must have missed him saying that. My own opinion is that Partington doesn't have a well-rounded game just yet so I do reluctantly accept that he might not be ready for AFL as opposed to more developed guys like Cole, Mutimer and Venables for instance.

I don't think Partington necessarily needs to compete with Priddis, Mitchell and Shuey. He's probably realistically competing with Duggan, Karpany, Masten, LeCras and perhaps Redden if Redden is shoehorned back onto a flank this week. The first two are playing well enough to justify their spots, Masten and LeCras less so.

It's his constant burning of teammates in pursuit of goal of the year that has annoyed me. His lack of pressure hasn't been great either.

Hope Partington leaves at the end of the year.

We don't need him, our midfield gets the job done week in week out.

So, we have people cheering for Port and someone hoping that one of our more promising young midfielders leaves the club at the end of the season.

Some great "supporters" around here.

You mods need to get a grip on reality.

No other coach in the AFL would play either of them in current form. Mocking their names is nothing in comparison to the frustration and abuse they will receive on Sunday when they continually cost West Coast goals by their ineptness.

If you want to be the guy who sits in the stands and calls the players on his own (supposed) team derogatory names, suit yourself.

But don't do it here.
