And if you can't make a point without resorting to name calling what does that say about you?

It ain't funny, it ain't clever, and it brings the debate down to a real playground level.
So, I have seen a lot of other people do it and you make no comment? Isn't that being hypocritical?

Not to mention people slag off players here in far more direct ways, which is often straight out abuse and far worse than simple name changing.

You might want to have some consistency in your criticism and maybe quit your other job working at the Eagles so you can get some perspective on life.

Alright, so i listened to Longmuir on the radio this morning and from that i reckon Lycett, Hurn, Priddis and Lecras are definite ins. Lycett because he made particular mention of the last time Ryder bent us over and the need to better combat that, Hurn because he's the C and Priddis/Lecras because they have runs on the board (that's what he said ffs).

Hurn for Buts
Priddis for Masten
Lecras for ?? (i'll rage if it's Karps)
Lycett for ??

how is this clown still a coach at our club????

Looking at the extended bench and trying to guess who makes the cut

Hutchings got coaches votes from Simpson (sure as **** wouldn't have been drinkyourownbathwater) and has been in good form as a lockdown player so he's a no brainer as an in

Lycett I suspect is cover for Vardy who may be under a cloud. Doubt he plays otherwise and we'd be too tall. At least I hope he doesn't play unless one of the talls named in the starting 18 is a late out

Schofield I'm guessing is cover for Hurn or maybe Barrass because for the same reasons as Lycett we're too tall if he plays without another tall coming out

Wellingham and Cole both retain their spots from last week I think although I'm unconvinced they're not carrying a niggle from last week. For now I'm going to assume they're OK and the club has specifically stated Wellingham has trained fully. So they're both in

Leaves Lecras and Redden fighting for the last spot

Redden played well enough to hold his spot but with Priddis coming in it pushes him to a more HF type role. Not my preferred situation but reality is that's what will happen. In this instance Lecras playing deeper forward with Karpany pushed either might work

That scenario is contingent on Lecras being completely over his injury troubles. It's easy to forget that his form through the first seven rounds was quite good - 17.8 and averaging 17 disposal per game. His round 7 game against port was very good and instrumental in us winning the match. Goal kicking aside (0.3) he still had a reasonable game against the Bulldogs in round 8 with 18 disposals before falling away against Essendon along with most of his teammates.

It was that game the club are saying he sustained the injury that's contributed to his poor form in the two games he's played since and kept him out of the side for the other three

Port are a high scoring side so Lecras offers another potential avenue to goal that we may need in JK's continuing absence. We haven't kicked a higher score than the 97 we scored against Port since that game

So despite Reddens solid game against the Bulldogs I'm ok with Lecras coming back in based on his added scoring power should he be able to replicate his early season form having shaken off his injury issues. At the very least he will draw a good defender

Should either Wellingham or Cole not get up then Redden gets a reprieve

Predicting that Lycett, Schofield and Redden will be cut from the 25
So we need to know what time are we in!

I thought it might be too obvious a troll but nope! Got a few!

Is Cripps an option for a rest? He's looked cooked for a couple of weeks, think he could use a break.

Won't they only cut from the extended bench? So two of Redden, Cole, Schofield, Hutchings to miss?

If that's the case then I guess we look like this:

FB: Barrass Mackenzie Sheppard
HB: Hurn McGovern Duggan
C: Jetta Mitchell Gaff
HF: Hutchings Darling Karpany
FF: Cripps Petrie Vardy

R: Lycett Yeo Shuey

I: Cole Priddis Sheed LeCras

Even though Cripps has had a limited output over the last month, he still kicked 2 goals last week. And 4 for the month.

That's 4 more than Lecras kicked over his "injured patch'

Still, that probably won't keep Lecras out. Just ask Josh Hill who routinely gets scapegoated despite the fact he kicks more goals.

It's not acceptable here. Bottom line. Deal with it.

If that's the case then I'd guess
Hurn for Butler
Priddis for Redden
LeCras for Masten with Karpany to play higher half-forward
Lycett for Wellingham/Cole with Gov to shift into the backline.

People have every right to be upset about these ins, and yes we know they are ins because they're named on the field and thats what our club always does, bring back these so called senior champions who have failed to deliver many times on the big stage over and over again.:mad:
Priddis and Lecras straight back in is a ****ing joke, and a smack in the face to those who played well enough to beat the reigning premiers on their home ground last week.
We finally get a decent midfield mix with speed and inside and outside ball winning ability, that wins the clearances 42-29 and our intellectually challenged and blind MC decides to plug back in the two most out of form players in the AFL right now.
The only changes should have been those that were injured, because remember, Simmo was gonna reward form. What a load of bullshit. Cant say ive ever been more pissed off because i actually thought they'd started to see the light. Unfortunately i think we need to order a bunch of bi-focal glasses for our MC because they obviously have no capacity to see whats in front of them. We are the perpetual definition of insanity...

From the 25 I think we'll see just Hurn and Priddis in for Butler and Masten.

Wouldn't be against bringing Schofield in for Barrass or Wellingham if he doesn't get up. The weakness in one on one still frustrates me about TB.

Got done again by Redpath, same as earlier in the year and a forward like Dixon would exploit that again. Personally I feel he needs to intentionally focus more on that part of his game.

As much as I love what Vardy and Petrie have done as talls I think that Lycett has done his time and proved his fitness with East Perth as well, weather pending.

Wouldn't rush Lecca back. Give Karpany a good crack at it

Priddis is, and he is the main problem. Lycett and Scholfield are not the issue, Lecras and Priddis are the two out of form and shouldnt even be in the side unless they've proved in the WAFL they are over their injuries and guys are struggling in the ones they can replace. That is how most clubs do it, except for us. You know this Fivey.

Based on the 18 named on field they are the only confirmed changes and I can't see an issue with either of them

Lecras wasn't named in the starting 18 so he's not a confirmed in at this stage albeit he may very well be confirmed as such by this afternoon

Looking over the last half dozen pages, it is evident that there are some frustrated fans who seem to want to hang out Simmo to try and some sensitive mods who seems want to back in Simmo and his MC.

I think the inclusion of Lecras is the big issue. How does a MC include an out of form and playing injured (hope you are over it now Mark) based on the following season stats:-
View attachment 389653

It is probably not just this year but a carry-over from 2016 with Mark that is adding to the cries for blood plus the frustration of not playing Parto.
I really think the Club should bring in a system when you've been out injured you have to make your way back via EP to show you have recovered and to show some sort of form before being reselected at AFL level. Kennedy would possibly be an exception of course but even then if we have somebody who can cover (which we've had to do) even him playing a game at EP before exposing him again to the increased tempo of AFL wouldn't hurt?

For my mind cripps has been horrid since coming back from injury. He kicked 2 goals last week but other than that was terrible for the rest of the game and it could very easily be argued he got gifted one and the other was luck rather than skill.

Im one of cripps biggest supporters and always have been however the last few weeks he has been terrible.

We'll see, but if you cant see an issue with Priddis walking straight back into this side after his terrible form this year, and how good our midfield was last week, then thats a worry.

LeCras should be brought back through the WAFL. I agree with that. It may yet happen.

Priddis has missed a week. No club in the league makes senior players come back through the reserves after a single week off.

They do when they're horridly out of form. There is no way anyone can justify Priddis getting a walk up start in the form he's in. Its absolute trash selecting and you all know it.

No way we play with three talls down back and two ruckman + Petrie. I would give vardy a rest if he is struggling with that shoulder...
They brought Eddy in. That means they have 4 talls in their forward line over 193cm at any given time.
