They do when they're horridly out of form. There is no way anyone can justify Priddis getting a walk up start in the form he's in. Its absolute trash selecting and you all know it.

Totally on the same page with you on this, other than with Lecras. Priddis just provides no value for our team full stop. He's a total hindrance. Lecras if fit does.

Ebert always carves us up. Maybe Pridda to go with a run with role on him and shut him down?

The problem with that is Pridda won't have the pace to go with him. Ebert will just get out in space and burn, much like every other player has done this year.

They brought Eddy in. That means they have 4 talls in their forward line over 193cm at any given time.

They added Eddy to the extended bench after Broadbent was ruled out. He's pretty unlikely to make the final cut.

Think their only change will be a straight swap of Hombsch for Broadbent.

Play slyce at FF and get him to chop out in the ruck. He will have a huge height advantage on who ver he plays and at worst should bring in down to our smalls.

Even though Cripps has had a limited output over the last month, he still kicked 2 goals last week. And 4 for the month.

That's 4 more than Lecras kicked over his "injured patch'

Still, that probably won't keep Lecras out. Just ask Josh Hill who routinely gets scapegoated despite the fact he kicks less goals.

Yeah this was an admitted troll several pages back. Pridda is done as an AFL footballer, he certainly can't tag an outside runner.

I actually let myself believe when Priddis was out with "soreness" that it meant, dropped for being shit, and he wouldn't be straight back. I mean, how often do you see in form veterans dropped for soreness?

And the justification for some of these ins from one of our coaches in "runs on the board"? Like, wtf? What does it matter if they have runs on the board if those runs have been shithouse? You'd like to think the MC knows something we don't, they after all presumably have more data. But nope, "runs on the board" is their justification.

****ing useless the lot of them.

I don't know which one of you muppets runs West Coast Eagles for life on facebook, but they just posted the photo below. Talking up Jetta.

Not sure where they got the stats from but i think the big takeaway is that Redden is top 5 for Total Distance covered at High Speed, and Average Speed in Attack. Seems right we should drop him for Priddis who will be bottom of both lists. :drunk:

"Runs on the Board" is the sort of ruthless attitude that Clarkson brought to Hawthorn, that Malthouse brought to the 1990's Eagles. Thats the sort of ruthless attitude that can build us into a team that will always be thereabouts, but not quite good enough. A slightly better Richmond :)

But from the website this morning, the big news is that AGL Energy is the new kid in town, Nissie is excited with them coming in as new players and as competition to the incumbents. But shouldn't we stick with Synergy? They've got runs on the board! :p

Good to see how high Duggan is in most of those readings. And very surprised about Redden and that Masten isn't up there in some of them like total distance covered.

They only measure running to the contest not running away from the contest hence the lack Masten in the stats.

It's also an indication of the level of information the players GPS tracking provides and that the coaches have access to far more data than we'll ever have

Pretty hard for us to draw full conclusions with what probably amounts to less than 5% of data

Be interested in stats like average speed and distance covered in defence

Surprised by the amount of ground covered by Mackenzie and sheppard given they play exclusively as defenders

AFL site has a picture of Yeo on their late mail article, can't see anything about him though.

Is it just the AFL site being daft, or is there rumours of a late out?

I will like any post with stats.

For my mind cripps has been horrid since coming back from injury. He kicked 2 goals last week but other than that was terrible for the rest of the game and it could very easily be argued he got gifted one and the other was luck rather than skill.

Im one of cripps biggest supporters and always have been however the last few weeks he has been terrible.
I have this feeling that Simmo & Co. have been playing many of them injured for fear of losing a game, only to make that injury worse. Should have been rested when injury first occurred to give the player/s a chance to recover.

LeCras should be brought back through the WAFL. I agree with that. It may yet happen.

Priddis has missed a week. No club in the league makes senior players come back through the reserves after a single week off.

You can't seriously think that priddis deserves to be selected.
If it wasn't for who he is and those blonde locks he would be playing East Perth.

...to keep us under control...

Really? Is this the communist board?

Personally I have no problems setting boundaries but like I said in another post, I've seen many other posters call them those names with no hint of a rebuke.

His point about consistency is correct.

But what do I know lol.

I don't. I've had him in my outs a couple of times this year and thought our midfield looked better without him on the weekend.

But if he was out injured and not on form, then it's not surprising that when he's fit again after a week he comes straight back.

I see plenty of people break the speed limit with no hint of a rebuke.

It means they've gotten away with it. Not that it's suddenly ok to break the rules. Or that when the cops pull me over, I'm being picked on or treated inconsistently.

Haha good analogy but it would still be called inconsistent.
