Bruce will miss with a hammy. Bate should be right with his ankle, but will be in some doubt.

He's not our best player, arguably our most talented but he has done nothing to be our best player. He has to be taught a lesson before he turns back into the old Sylvia.

Why is everyone typing that Davey will be out with a broken nose? If he is out with a broken nose then he should be delisted and told to grow some balls. There is no way that McDonald would ever be out with a broken nose.

Rivers getting bagged on the forums. I thought I would never see the day, he should have been bagged more last week, he is a shadow of his former self.

If Miller gets a game it will be a massive mistake. We must not go back to the same olds. We went back to Rivers and Johnson after showing some good VFL form and where did it get us? NOWHERE. Gysberts, Jetta, Morton, Wonaeamirri and Cheney have all been in good form and our youngsters should be getting a game ahead of a veteran on the fringe. Dunn and MacDonald should also get a game ahead him cos they haven't had anywhere near the chances he has had at AFL level.

Stinga, I will agree with you in regards to Sylvia. ND didn't have the balls to drop TJ when he was going shit, and look where he ended up. Sylvia massacred Richmond and has done SFA since. Bails needs to send a message. Ross Lyon did it effectively with Milne and Dal Santo a couple of years ago.

IF he doesnt perform against port, but if i was bailey i would make it very clear to him what he needs to work on and give him a clear message about what would happen we need a key forward target... Clearly no-one realises that dropping all our senior players, even if they are in dodgy form, and replacing them with Jetta, Gysberts, Morton etc, is a surefire way to get dominated in Darwin. The FD isn't stupid enough to drop mature bodies for kids in large numbers.

Who is calling for all our senior hard-bodied players to be dropped???
1. Bruce will miss.
2. PJ is a spud.
3. Rivers, while ok yesterday, does not have a potential match-up against Port. They don't have any big, key forwards with Tredrea out. Yet, you want to take in Warnock, Frawley, Garland and Rivers?
4. Sylvia is struggling. I'm not against keeping him in the team. But if we have so many players playing consistent footy at Casey, reward them with a game. Competition for spots is what we have been craving.

Also, Miller and MacDonald hardly constitute young, lightweights.

I don't know what your on about. Morton is in our best 22 and should give us a much needed marking option. Jetta was good last week and kicked 2 against the Bullants and he can give us some defensive pressure something that we really didn't have on Saturday. Gysberts must play, our midfield was poor and Gysberts is a noted clearance player that has been killing it at VFL level (I wouldn't be surprised if Jones got dropped his last 3 weeks have been very ordinary), all have earned selection if they get pick. There is no use having mature bodies if they can't play Johnson and Miller prove that time and time again.

I would be surprised if Bailey did drop more than 2 players though because I can't ever remember him doing it, just like his 2 week rule it seems to be set in stone.
I think there will only be 3 changes with Bruce being injured 4 if Bate doesn't come up. Johnson will definately be dropped and someone will be the scapegoat for our poor effort. I am hoping that it is Sylvia but it could be anyone because there were a lot of poor players against the Eagles. I think there will be a lot of lucky players playing against Port on Saturday.

Rivers was very ordinary against Kennedy, the only time he looked solid in defence was in the third quarter, when he managed to get himself free and come across the contest as third man. When he was lead up the ground he looked ordinary. The delivery was very good to Kennedy, which made it harder for Rivers.

Garland was well and truly beaten, however le Cras was given first class delivery, some of the kicks to him were spot on and even Matthew Scarlett would of struggled to stop them.

Personally I dont think we should have given him the chance in the first place.

Johnson, was ok when in the ruck, but was terrible when he was put up forward. If he is just left to play in the ruck only and not up forward he can be more than serviceable.

I dont think we should make wholesale changes, however with injuries to Bruce, Bate, Davey we may be forced to. I dont think we can afford to bring back both Wona and Morton in the same game, they will take a couple of games to get back to AFL fitness.

Aussie was supposed to be heading up to Darwin early this week with LJ, to meet some people and do some promo stuff for the club to build up the game a bit up there. Aussie has been told to stay in Melbourne and train with the team and will more than likely play this week.

He's a different player to Petterd IMO. I've never seen him take strong marks like Petterd. At the moment Maric's spot is taken up by Bennell, a guy whose always played in the backline.

He rarely gets mentioned because he hasn't managed to get himself in the team despite apparently having a good preseason. I think he's a forward version of Chris Johnson, not enough speed for his height, skills look good but really aren't amazing and just not desperate enough.

Why are you anti Miller? He is a player on our list and getting payed to play at the highest level. Johnson contrary to want you think was behind Miller in form and should not have been picked in our side. Miller has to play this week we need a big bloke in our forward line and whether you like it or not he is the option. He is ahead of Newton, Johnson,and few other ruckman. His 3 BOGS warrant his return.
