This is the game that almost defines our season - the Tiges are a massive monkey on our back, have been for years and, pound for pound, are the best team in the competition over the last few seasons.

I believe in our young guys and would make changes only as necessary to freshen sore bodies. If a player is fit, then he should play. I said elsewhere that we'd win these 3 games....one down, 2 to go :) Win this, and anything is possible from this group.
Would love a win as Richmonds our last bogey side to beat but I reckon they’ll be some weird results over the next 3-4 rounds so wouldn’t put to much stock in wins and losses.

Im also worried about the turnovers out of defence if we only have one good kick (Witherden) down there.
I thought Starc had been effective by foot last night, I know he had a shower a couple of weeks ago but He looks to be a steady contributor this year

I think bigger body CEY and Berry getting another pre-season is a plus for us against the Tigers.
Also think Bailey, Linc and Rayner stepping up through the midfield is a big plus over last year.
Really happy with Rayners effort this year.. I think he learnt a lot from coming into his second year underdone.

Then the fact Fagan worked out Charlie needs some minutes through the mid as well if being held.

Be a interesting game Tigers been more up and down this year.

I will accept any changes the coaches make to the Richmond game.
After all they are better informed than myself

However if their are any changes to the umpires i will consider lodging a formal complaint 🙃

Charlie is just about our best field kick, can spot up targets in the corridor and inside 50, he would be fantastic as a full time winger who rests forward but he is too valuable as a small forward for that to be a viable option at the moment. If only we had 2 of him:think:.

If only there was a younger version of Charlie floating around....

yes i agree think he is coming along and like most young guys gaining confidence each week in a winning team. I think he has cemented his spot

When the fixture dropped I was in favour of resting most of the team for the Richmond game. Have softened on that a little. Still think we should rest anyone showing signs of fatigue. Also need to bring in another tall defender and Payne deserves a shot. So....

Out: Robbo, Birchall, Berry, Clugga

In: Matho, Robertson, Payne, Coleman

I'd really love to finally beat the Tigers but I think we need a lot to go our way and off a 4 day break I don't have confidence they will. As long as we win 1 of our next 2 games then I think we're in a really good position for the final few games.

I wanted to rest half of them but I reckon because of last night's smacking people are starting to think we're a chance.

Need a cooler calculated head in these circumstances and my priority would be who can we make sure is right for the Dogs game. Wouldn't be risking anyone a bit tight or too sore.

I do not see why people want Robbo out. He found his mouth guard sohe is right to play. We could knocK up another in a day anyway
I know he always looks buggered as he always give 100%

Be interesting who needs a rest.. was not a hard hit second half. I think the GWS game took it out of us
Hence we ran out of legs second half against the Dees.
I would not change too much. I say a mid for someone with quick legs like Cox/Coleman

I would be inclined to give Birch a rest and AhChee to be omitted.
Payne and Hinge to come in.
That way when Birch and Rich come back those 2 make way.

Would give us a backline against Richmond of -

Payne, Andrews, Starc
Witherden, Gardiner, Answerth
Hinge on the bench and also Bailey to rotate through if required.

And against Doggies -

Birch, Andrews, Starc
Witherden, Gardiner, Rich
And Answerth on the bench.

We aren’t dropping Ah Chee if Rich, Birch and Lester are out.

We may not?
Just my thoughts.
Personally I think with last night efforts, Witherden and Answerth offer more then AhChee. So I don’t think we would be losing anything of substance.

YEah, I don’t disagree re witho and answerth, but you suggested dropping him for Hinge who played wing last time he was in the seniors. My point is we aren’t going to leave out a 4th member of our back 7 for the last 6 rounds by choice. When the others return I’d drop ah chee.

Ah Chee is playing his role, added good pressure and set up a few scoring shots all the while playing a big part in shutting out Tippa. He and Answerth worked him over (especially noticeable on the replay).

He is not going anywhere.

On last nights display they do but Ah Chee hasn't been beaten by his direct opponent in any game and went at 90% last night. He's just learning about defence and is getting better. Another useful utility who I think will be in the side at years end.
