Backline Tick
Midfield Tick
Ruck Tick
Forwards XXXXX

It is going be difficult to keep winning with our forward line without Astro. The only one who can be relied on to do his job is Wallis not great but he has been ok. The rest except for one game from Bruce are consistently below standard and even worst structure wise we need another tall.

Mclean must come in and either Trengove or Young, Dickson outs take your pick of any of the other forwards.

And he friggin desrves it imo DB, the kid played his guts out got injured early and had the courage to come back on, played in the middle when needed, got crunched, got crucified by the umps and gave everything he had in that last few minutes and all people can say is he got a game because he's a great clubman. Personally I think he's up against it specially in our midfield but not going to stamp his papers because of what transpired last night. It was a tough game in tough conditions to pop your cherry on and feel he deserves to be considered again..

I thought he improved as the game went on which is a good sign.

Too early to tell if he has any AFL traits. There was a bloke called libraturtle or something like that who was told quite often that he had no AFL traits too if I recall correctly.

Jeez some of you guys are a bit harsh on Porter. Had 7 contested possessions, 4 tackles and 17 pressure acts from only 56% game time with a injured shoulder (even if it's minor, it probably wasn't 100%) in his first game. I get that he's in his 3rd year, but only being 21 and that being his first game, I think there's a bit to work with there (despite the negatives). I reckon he only goes out if he's injured.

OUT: Gowers (WTF Bevo !), Porter (had a taste), Suckling (nup), Weightman.

IN: Schache, McLean, Hunter, West.

Bevo will pull some crazy, left field selection moves no doubt but we are so much better with these team changes.

One of his best performances in ages last night. Maybe he’s the type of player who needs to be given someone to run with. He looked really capable defensively which has not always been his forte.

Only thing is that Bolton seems to take up a position to burst out of the stoppages. I wouldn’t think we’d want JJ round every stoppage.

Shai Bolton is just electric. He could absolutely cut us up. Who do we have that could go with him for pace?
Baz will fix him up, not sure he likes it tough... Need to find another marking target inside 50, reckon the tiger defenders struggle a bit under the high ball..

Those who are suggesting we should move Naughton back when he returns should just give themselves an uppercut right now. Last night highlighted just how much we are missing him up forward.

What I'd like to see is

OUT
Gowers
Young
Porter (I'd like to see more of him but these are some must win games)

IN
McLean
Young
West

But I'm not really taking into account the shorter breaks and the need to rest players, I'm sure there's a plan in place for that. Anyone we don't see at some point this season you can be almost certain is on the way out you'd think, injuries aside.

Really think we should win this the tigers mids are inexperienced and not good at the contested ball we should smash them inside

Look at the defensive 7 we have. Keath, Cordy, Williams, Crozier, JJ, Daniel, Wood. How many of them were high draft selections. None.

Develop a good system and players who know their respective roles and you can make it work just like we have. Even worse throwing Naughton back could upset the whole dynamic of what we have.

Even the thought of Naughton back is silly. Our forward line is in a dire state right now. Schache is no good and we often sacrifice bont to play up forward so that we have a secondary target. In big games we need Bont in the middle.

It was a shame Naughton got injured when he did. His first quarter before his injury against the Swans was outstanding. He was just getting into some form.

We've matched up well against Richmond over the last few years, despite the fact they've been the strongest team in the comp. 5 of the last 6 have gone our way.

The game we lost in 2017 was by three points when missed at goal.

Fully accept there is a management plan, but picking Gowers plus a swag of players who haven’t yet played ten games was adventurous to say the least!

Would like to see some experience back in the side for this one.
