No one stands out to be dropped after that performance.

Campo was one of our better players and Cole and Dyson did enough to make me want to see them again. Saw Dyson go in hard a few times which was very impressive and his skills were back to his normal class. Cole has obvious ability which he is starting to show. He just needs to get his confidence back.

The balance of the team looked good too. I'd be happy with no change. Certainly no need to rush anyone back unless they are 100% or VFL form demands it.

The only possible inclusion is Welsh..and unless he is Superman..hamstring injuries don't come good in 7 days. I would be surprised if there is any chages this week. Cole adds some run out of defence fellas and lets be honest we need run there, becuase as good as Fletch and Mal are..they are not quick!

I don't recall Ricky having a clanger today, thought he tried hard, kicked well and was impressive. Was hitting targets and giving it a good go. I liked watching him run off the HBF.

As much as I hate Campo, sorry team I just can't get used to it after about 10 years of swearing at him, I don't think I would drop him. He surprised me today, had a few hard ball gets, stood off players a lot as usual but he gave it a show a few times. He made some beautiful passes that hit targets though.

I actually thought Slatts did pretty well today. I think he plays the tagger role quite well. Didn't get a lot of the pill but had 5 tackles and did some good stuff, added pressure.

Mark Johnson, how well did he play today. Rebounded very well I thought. Setup a lot of play.

Lovett will be gone for a while and I think Hislop is still suspended isn't he?

No changes for me against the Tiges. Maybe Richie Cole but he wasn't too bad today.

I was seating near lovett and he was on crutches

In: Lonergan
Out: Cole( Made some stupid kicking errors)

It all depends on what happens in the VFL

If you're assessing Cole's performance yesterday, it's worth taking into account he had gastro pretty bad.

Lovett won't be back for a few weeks at least.

effects his kicking does it? he played ok, broke the lines a few times.. Turned the ball over a bit though.

Dyson, Laycock and Bradley aside, players like Cole, Campo and Johns are only in due to injuries at this stage. Johns would have to remain on our list for a further 4-5 years before even being considered as an automatic selection, Campo is only one more decent kid away from the end of his AFL career and Cole would be competing against Welsh and NLM. Cole does have speed, Ill give him that...usually just runs into another contest. Houli would have put a nail in the coffin of one of those players Id imagine on yesterday's performance.

Welsh for Dyson.

Question - Has Ricky Dyson played a good game in a losing side?

Yes.

Last year he did it twice against Carlton and St. Kilda. The first Carlton agme, possibly the worst game I've ever seen us play, Dyson was probably our best and one of the few shining lights. In the St. Kilda game, whihc we lost by 4 points, Dyson had plenty of touches and used it very well.

It's not many but he's done it before.

No he hasn't. Has he ever made an impact in any game that was in the balance?

He only had 8 possession till 3/4 time. When the game was done and dusted he got 7 in the last quarter.

I'm sick and tired of arguing with supporters who have an unhealthy bias towards him.

He should be put in the Mark Bolton category of only being picked if there is no other option due to injuries.

Yeah you're right.

I still think he's a front runner.

unchanged - i tought dyson was quite good yesterday, we'll persist with him as he has pace and good foot skills, and a few ppl were bagging campo i thought he was good and got some important touches and hit targets ( something we need more of in the middle)

SUB - THREAD : If Welsh were to return next weekend, who do you think would be relegated from yesterday's side? Houli, Dyson, Campo or Cole

I didn't even see Cole turn it over that much, no more than anybody else really, he had good hands under pressure yesterday

He did twice in the third quarter. I thought he was quite good other than that.

Dyson. He's played his good game for the month.

So did I. He's played well IMO for someone who has played 2 games this year, he provided good run off HB and I think the coaches like it too.
