IN-Sylvia, Watts
OUT-Can't decide really...probably Joel Mac and Davey if unfit

Sylvia is an obious inclusion and I reckon we need to see Watts in a team who've come off the back of a win and are playing probably the worst side in the league. He had a good came for the Scorpions so we hear so maye a HFF role will do him good. Move Bennell back for JMac who needs a RUN (two meanings there) in the two's and move Watts forward?

Bennell is doing well playing as a forward where a slight lack of accountability doesnt result in the ball heading through the big sticks for the opposition i say leave him there

IN: Martin and Sylvia

OUT: Newton and Bate (massive fan of him but is in very poor form at the moment and may need a run in the ressies to regain some confidence)

I reckon we persist with Bate. He hasn't been great but I'd rather we stick with him. He'll come good. But ya right with Newton. He's lucky I didnt have a spare 7 grand on me yesterday, or would have jump the fence dragged him to bench. He was shocking.

Bate-
He had to run his absolute full measure into that open goal, to me that says he's lacking confidence in his finishing ability.

I am sorry but this is one of the more rediculous things i have heard, it is called making a certanity of it. If the space is there and you can run to the goal line and kick why wouldn't you?

Garry Ablett or Steve Johnson would of done the same, and they can kick goals from anywhere on the ground!

Bates game mirrored the teams perfromance yesterday, very ordinary first half but played better and looked a lot more dangerous as the game went on.

Out

Bate and Newton

In

Silvia and Stef Martin or PJ

Do some research, learn how to spell Sylvia and Stef Martin couldn't get near it in the preseason and PJ is injured.

Easy change

In -Sylvia the damaging dynamo

Out - Bruce the liability
If he didn't have the credits in the bank that he currently has then I would call for Brucey's head also. He just looks slow and very out of his depth at the moment. Been caught out on too many occassions over the past fortnight when playing deep in defence.

Dropping Scully isnt an option as it would absolutely
wreck any confidence he has left.

Scully doesnt need to rack up a lazy 40 touches in the VFL
to prove anything to himself, he just needs AFL gametime.

Sylvia comes in for Bail.

Rivers comes in for Garland, who was underdone and ordinary,
needs time in the VFL, he has had a lot of time out.

Either way, we will smash Richmond, it will be a good start
to the year, our intensity has been great lately, Id love to
see some consistancy to that.

While dunn found the footy, I think we're forgetting that he is a horrible shot at goal and still lacks compusure. Definitely agree that bennell is finally putting pressure on wona which is great.

The general feel here is that it's difficult to find players to drop. I think that may be the win talking. The lack of players to be included on the side will limit options. Clearly Sylvia is in our best 22. Bate could be dropped but he is improving to be fair. Juice, while kind of being involved has not done much but I think he should be given a few more weeks to really see if he can deliver. His career really is on the line though.

Loving that there is actually a thread trying to figure out who to drop though.

Let's start with keeping those tackling numbers up against richmond!

If we win the tackle count and the stoppages against Richmond, the same way we did against Adelaide, it won't matter who we bring into the side.

But, Sylvia must have been close to selection this week, so he comes into the side for sure. Tough call on who to leave out, but I'd either leave out Bail or Dunn. Both have been good, but Sylvia is an automatic selection. Scully had a bad game, but needs to learn from that in the seniors, not the reserves. Bate improved on his forst two weeks, so remains in the side. We need all the goal kickers we can get at the moment. This is why I'd be more reluctant to drop Dunn. Sure he's been ordinary in front of goals so far this year, but he was a great lead up target for the midfield yesterday when we were crying out for one. So Bail for me gets dropped for Sylvia. Garland remains in the team, and I'd play him at full forward. Don't think he'll be needed in the backline against the Tigers. Frawley, Warnock, MacDonald should cover Morton, Reiwoldt and Post.

If Davey doesn't come up, then he makes way for Sylvia. And If Bailey is determined to get a fit Rivers into the team, then Garland is probably the unluck one to miss. Tough decisions this week for sure, which is a good thing. Watts and Martin to play at least 1 or 2 more for Casey to get some form and fitness. Newton stays in the team until Watts or Martin is ready to come back in. Big game this Sunday. A must win if we are to show we are on the improve. A loss will take us back to Round 1 levels of disappointment. So the team must keep the intensity levels high and play better than we did in the first half against Adelaide.

L.Dunn for C.Sylvia

Has to be done.

Off topic but what do you have to do or how long do you have to wait before you can create a thread.

I was really really unhappy with Juice's efforts for most of the second half, not his marking or anything like that, more his 2nd/3rd efforts, his chasing. Is he just that slow or is he lazy? More than once he bailed on chase and tackle, backed out of a bump (probably fair enough cos he'd be suspended) and rarely put more than one hand out just below his knee to pick up a ball in dispute... HOWEVA! I still think he's better than Miller and Spencer.

For me, Sylvia has to come in, but I really don't know who should come out.

I'm thinking that Bail might be omitted, despite the fact he's been pretty good over the last couple of weeks.

To all of those wanting Martin in the side, I think he needs to perform at VFL level for a couple of weeks at least before he earns a spot, particularly when you consider how consistent Juice has been for Casey over the last season or so.

Further, Watts must be getting close too, given that he played a full match for Casey on Sat. night, if reports are to be believed.

wtf. Bail has been one of the better youngsters to play the last 2 games. To drop him cause he was pick61 while Scully stays cause he was 1 is ridiculous. I can't think of any other reason why you'd drop Bail as he is provding run which we need.

I'm not saying drop Scully because he's being solid without starring but Bail has been better.

I'd have a close look at Bate, Newton and Dunn. Dunn stiff but i'm a non believer. Bate will turn it around but may get a run in the magoos.

I feel betrayed. You guys are supposed to be sh*t like us. What happened to our sh*tness pact this year? Now you are leaving us behind and we are well and truly the laughing stock.

You will probs beat us easily. After our first 10 players we don't have any depth. You guys actually seem to have some depth and there seem to be a couple of people missing out who could play. We don't have a key forward, the only way we can win is if our midfield dominates but that won't happen.

Don't worry we still have no key forward as well! However we do have an ever improving talented backline and midfield, not to mention a powerful ruckman.

I suppose the main differences between the sides this year are that we are seriously playing to win this year and we're carrying less passengers every week compared to the past couple of years.

Correction, we don't have a developed key forward.
