Given What we kno about Lloyd, here is what I expect to happen

OUT:Bolton, Laycock, Heffernan
IN: Houli, Hille, NLM(if fit) otherwise Lonergan.

Natrat will be playing in the VFL when he gets back. Has missed too much footy now to come staright in.
Hille would probably be 70/30 to play this week.

If MJ play he will have to be our small forward. Cant really see a math up for him in defence as North are too quick for him in that area.
Don't know why he isn't already playing that role. He could be very effective for us in a similar role to what Chris Johnson does for Brisbane. People on this forum get too critical of players too soon.

Id like to think he could match it with Grant who I dont regard as overly quick.

Its rediculous to even suggest this, never going to happen. We lost but you dont upset team balance by changing nearly a quarter of the team.

Actually cant agree , have seen the Hawks three times live this year and they set up the zone when the ball is in their forward 50 before it comes back out. They work extremly hard to push back to set it up. The way to beat it is to do what the Bulldogs do/did to the Hawks. Have several players running hard through the zones or down the lines and force them to try and man up and secondly use the ball well. Have your one or two tall forwards in the goal square and if your half forwards, mids and half backs work hard enough you find space somewhere to run up and go over the zone or to force it backwards so players can lead from outside 50 into the area about 40 out.

The key against the hawks is above (highlighted).

Edwards vs Mal Michael/Fletcher - This will be very interesting. Edwards has a big tank and is very quick on the lead, and has easily the best contested mark at the club. Took 10 contested marks in the 1st half against C.Bolton, was the key to beating the swans. Fletcher could really hurt the Roo's with his rebound off of Half Back.

I doubt either of those guys will get Edwards as they will go to the bigger forwards Petrie and Leigh Brown.

Would love to see Davey and Campbell match up and see who is fastest. Won't happen as they both will play forward pocket. Campbell would just about match Davey for pace I reckon - he is very quick. Campbell's defensive pressure is excellent and is an terrific snap off both feet.

The one to watch for you guys is Jesse Smith. Only played his first game for two years against the Swans, but he was sensational in the last quarter when the pressure was on.

Is Lloyd in or out?

Should be a good game Friday night, looking forward to it.

Can people in here ffs stop putting Lovett-Murray in their side because he aint playing seniors this week against the roos.

He has not played any competitive match in 6 weeks and is in the modified training group at training, he will not play this week.

i dont think the heff should be left out... watson should be sent back to the 2's - i know he gets it but his disposal is just not good enough.. let him go back and hopefully build some confidence... i think MJ may benefit from the same also.. its obvious Houli is sticking his hand up, hopefully they can reward his hard work with a taste of the big time.

At this stage Lloyd looks to be out.

Antrobus, if he's done the hammy, can you suggest to Doc Reid that he protect Lloyd and keep him out until the Richmond game.

Well im yet to be convinced it is a hammy ;) Some ducks and drakes going on here.....
I just hope the Tigers win a game before they get to us otherwise we will no doubt do them the favour giving them their first win :(

C: Winderlich J.Johnson Peverill

HF: Davey Bradley Watson

FF: Hird Lucas N.Lovett-Murray

Inter: Bolton, Houli, Dyson and Laycock

Emery: Monfries, M.Johnson and Longeran

IN: Hille, Houli(d), N.Lovett-Murray and Bradley

Campball quicker than Davey? Doubt it.

Anyways i'd wait for the VFL today. I'd be surprised if Lloyd played, Hille will come in i'd assume. Lonergan and Houli can really push there claims today with strong showings.

Dont believe it? Should have watched it last year. Quicker than both davey boys

hope watson has a rest.. dyson can stay ive got a feeling.. he worked hard last week and he could be a spark for us

Whatever happens... if Bradley gets a game, we lose - seriously. He just dosn't seem up too it at the top level - pretty dissapointing. His decision making and then his disposal is just shocking. I know I'm being a tight ar*e suggesting if one player gets a game (and probably last thing the poor kid needs reading this sort of stuff on a supporters forum) we lose the game... but yeah, I think he gives us nothing...

On the positive side of things, Hille is a certainty to play on Friday Night after training strongly today.
