I think he'd have to get a run....I think we need to free Lovett up to get down to the forward line. Roos small/mid backs are quite slow and we could expose them in that part of the ground. Play a lucas up the ground a bit and have Davey/Lovett/Monfires rotating through Full Forward.....

Ok here are the possible INS:
Houli
Lonergan
Hille
Cole
Bradley
NLM

If he is going to make 5 changes it would be out of this group.
Well since he said that Watson, MJ, Heff and Bolts are not playing well he will prob take them out and now i would say he would put in Hilley Houli Lonergan and NLM/Cole

According to the Houli article

After weeks on end of meekness and being miles away from selection Cole gets in with one decent Bendigo performance? It wouldn't surprise me somehow. I'd prefer Lonergan was rewarded first, let Cole prove that he's genuinely turning a corner.

Cole would provide more run out of defence which is what we'd be looking for, I reckon we'll see Lonergan given a chance real soon anyway

Spot on as far as i can tell Cole hasnt done a hell of alot in the magoos. Loners has been emergency for last 3 or 4 weeks? Plays well again on the weekend and the seniors get done yet still not given a go. I think ppl underestimate how confidence sapping it can be, to constantly be knocked back at the selection table. It will most likely lead to a downer of a game for him at bendigo this week. thrilled with the MJ axing tho its about 12 months too late. Hes relly struggling and needs to stop chewing gum and knuckle down abit.

Cole wasnt that good over the last cpl of weeks but turned the corner last week. He's only in beacuse we are looking for run form the backline and NLM is not available for senior selection. Cole did have a much improved game last week though...

Lonergan could play that role should he be handed it, and you'd at least be a little more certain of the effort you'd be getting. I don't think it sends that great a message to Lonergan if he sees himself skipped over by a player that's appeared disinterested and been very average up until the weekend.

Lonergan won't play back-pocket, MJ hasn't been dropped yet, we'll have to wait and see.

Who's to say Lonergan hasn't been told he'll get a game real soon if he keeps it up, we're a proffessional club, we wouldn't yet young players get dissinterested IMO.

Cole worked hard and stuck tight to his opponent for bendigo Vs Sandringham as well. Might not have been in the best but a good solid disciplined performance. It's not all about possessions as Houli would have been in weeks ago if that were the case.

Go Bachar

Cole has been far from diinterested this year ;) Has worked as hard or harder than anyone else on the list.
As for Lonergan handling the same role well i doubt they will select Sam to play half back/back pocket given he has played all his footy as a forward/midfielder. Cole has been pretty good the last two games, the difference this weekend was his disposal was very good rather than poor.
The spot that would suit Lonergan is the spot Monfries is currently not carrying out very well.

All the more reason to bring in Lonergan and have Monfries and Lonergan swap between midfield and forward!

Hennenman is playing for Silvan and is dominating along with Moorcroft, Haynes and bullens, seems like Sivan is where all the Essendon rejects go, i hear they are also close to signing barnesy as well!
