I've been a supporter of Grant in the past but watching him this year at full fitness with a game style to suit him and actually putting in decent effort, his output just isn't good enough for mine.
I think he's in trouble. Still has the rest of the year to impress but at this stage, he'll be traded or delisted.

I don't mind Cordy. If he can improve on a personal front whilst sticking to the structures and holding up on a team front, that would be ideal.

I would've preferred Biggs or Dale to Goodes but we all like shiny, new things
 
It is what it is, no need to bring players down.
Our backline matches up really well on paper, the worry of course is the form of Bruce. Their backline has a similar theme to ours in they put quite a bit of experience at the back end.
Will be interested to see who they put on Murphy, take someone from their backline and that gives us an advantage with a lesser like on one of our damaging forwards.
They have a really tough nut midfield with a bit of class floating through with their younger players. If we can break even in the middle I can't see us losing, at either end I see us on top at the moment (who would have thought that at the start of the year :p)).

My true bulldogs supporter nature coming through (the eternal pessimist) but I think the outs have pushed us over the limit this week and we are ripe for the picking as they say. Only loss was to Hawks with Boyd out, and Jong has being doing a mountain of work without racking up huge numbers. Combine that with a hard week and the Aints getting their veterans back and it all points to a very tough match for us.

Not sure either of them really have to, we still have Webb, JJ, Murphy, Wood down there as well as 3 talls.

I'm thinking Hunter through the mid with Jong out and Goodes sub.
 
More worried about the ruck this week than Goodes, who's gonna babysit Ayce with Jong out this week.

The thing I've been impressed about this year is that no matter who has come into the side they seem to know their role and the team rules so it's almost like it doesn't matter so much.

I mean how many have we lost to injury and the others just keep stepping up. Really glad Fletcher Roberts kept his spot and should be better for getting a bit of a run at it, ditto Clay Smith. Agree with Goodes as the sub and Hunter on the Half Fwd with a few runs through the middle. Webb and JJ should cover for Matty Boyd, maybe even Picken although he's been great in the midfield this year. We will miss Jong's speed and run through the middle but just need the others including Hunter and Hrovat to step up. I think they can.

Who from the Saints is going to man the Bont and Stringer? I expect big games from both on Saturday.

We're not going to drop this one, but I feel key elements of our game might be exposed. Smashed in the ruck and speed out of the stoppages.

Then you would know he isn't averaging 18 touches a week and just included his game he was subbed in the first quarter. Wallis is a very good inside mid for us and especially without Libba, will be very important this year still. We've been winning without him of course, but he has a big role to play for us yet.
 
At least the coaches rate Cordy even though they felt the need to sub him out in half his games this year due to his incompetence.

Happy with the changes, obviously prefer unchanged the way we played last week but I'm STOKED to see hunts get a game kid is a star in the making for mine..excited about him as much as anyone else.

Also no need for the hate on Goodes, he's got a nice kick,decent speed and can play the role boydy has been doing..maybe not at that level but still at a good enough one and will be keen to go hard and lead from the front after watching the boys play like they have in first 5 weeks to try keep a spot (which will be hard I admit), same goes for Hunts.

If they both play their role and the rest keep it up then we should still win well, would be dirty if we lost and so would the players as their expectations would've went up after last week too.
 
Don't worry about what we've lost, theres still so much upside in this team. Clay, Hunter and Hrovat due to step up a level. Macrae coming off a rare quiet one, he bounces back strongly every time. Bonts, Stringer and to a lesser extent Boyd are all on the verge of tearing a game apart. Webb, Crameri, Talia and Wood getting better every week. Roberts getting settled in the backline.

Can't believe the negativity around here. The losses suck but it gives them both a break, its a long season, and so far every player thats stepped in has just continued to play their role. I'd probably prefer a Biggs or Dale in over Grant too but I can understand why he's in. Very interested to see how the ruck situation goes, has to be the last chance for Cordy. Please show something in the ruck contests!
