Lol, mature response
When Judd is injured during games do we look at his stats at the end of the year and say well he missed 12 quarters with injury that affected his average of 24.5 ?

Do you?

Rd 1: 24 disposals, 7 tackles, 7 clearances, 16 contested possessions, 8 uncontested and a goal assist.

Rd 2: 26 disposals, 5 tackles, 8 clearances, 15 contested possessions, 11 uncontested, 2 goal assists and a goal.

Then he was injured early in round 3, dragging his averages down.
Who? Wallis??

You guys realise that Goodes is most likely to be the sub? Instead of bringing a guy like Biggs who Bev would rather see play a full game for match fitness and to continue building on his form, its a long season.

Seriously this is your argument. Not a solitary person on the coaching or selection committee would look at average stats of Wallis inclusive of the 10 minutes he played against Hawthorn. They will look at his full games. This would happen at any level of football, so he will not come through the VFL due to averaging 18 possessions.

He will however, come through the VFL as he will have missed at least 4 weeks of football and the 5th week he played 10 minutes of football so he will be under done.

And the answer to the question is his coaching and selection committee would. Bigfooty posters and supporters now experts on stats, who knows, ask them

Vfl have the bye.

I think bev knows we are still a few years away from a flag so will give guys like Cordy and goodes a chance to prove themselves before he makes his mind up that they are finished , meaning biggs and dale will eventually get there opportunities as they have longer contracts
I have doubts that we would not be playing the best available, or the more likely to succeed. I just think external expectations and opinions of Biggs is greater than the internal assesment. Give him a bit more time to play the role the team want him to play and all that. His stats don't tell the whole story.

What about dale ? Campbell and Minson are better than Cordy ?

My actual point is Wallis was no certainty to play as he isn't an untouchable , vfl was best way back for him

His average is 18 for the year , I don't care if he was injured 18 is the number

wow man that is just ludicrous. You are using a sample of 3 games - with one of the 3 games he was out of the game completely in the first few minutes injured, which massively effects the average, over such a small sample. No one is going to pay your posts any respect making posts like, and even less respect for continuing to back it after the above is pointed out.

Well then say that, I and most would agree with you on this. In fact I did. Don't use a meaningless stat, unless you want to just be argumentative

That was my first post then it ended up with Stats mate

Biggs not even an emergency is what I find very strange.
I think Igloo said a few weeks ago that his fitness looked way off AFL standard. Probably just giving him an extra couple of weeks to build that up. Gets more out of playing a full game of VFL than copping the green vest at AFL level.

Well Dale doesn't really seem suited to Boyd's role, and I think that is what we may see of Goodes. If he is just in for the sub role then I agree Dale would be better placed. The Cordy/Campbell/Minson thing is odd. I couldn't tell you. But we did beat Sydney so I guess that's a vibe.

We would have won by more if we had Minson , I think biggs deserves a run as he could play Boyd's role , boyd has been getting ball but struggles defending at times

He looked a bit tired in the 2nd half of the Casey game from the other week. I think you're right, he could do with another week or two. The VFL guys have a bye this week though which sucks.

I wouldn't say way off. But he just didn't look too fit.
But yeah, playing some lower level stuff is good for him for now. I wasn't expecting to see him this week.
But still, no VFL this week :p
