how did you guys see laird's game? Didn't get a lot of it.

The couple of times I saw him I thought he was allright. The bit of play that stood out for me was in the second quarter where Talia spolied the ball and Laird was in the correct spot to collect and rebound the ball out in an efficient manner. Some times awareness is better than absolute footspeed in moving the ball quicker.

The club has already said Crouch will have a week in the SANFL.

Pity Callinan didn't get to play this weekend. We are going to need to play a crumber at some stage.

Out Porps
In Hendo

Mackay is borderline being dropped based on his performances in the past month, not on today. That being said he shouldn't be dropped this week due to his performance today.

Only one change for me, and as others have stated would love to see Lyons given a full game. Him and Kerridge have given me optimism for our future midfield. Kerridge, Sloane, Danger, Lyons, Smith, Crouch..
IN: Hendo
Out: Porplyzia

You get a different view watching the game live

He works very hard off the ball and gives his opponent no time or space and puts on plenty of blocks for his team mates

More than played his role

as the wife is a diehard saint, I've seen a fair bit of the saints this year... They're capable of some very good football and even when beaten don't generally play awfully... We will probably tag Dal, but would need to keep an eye on Armitage... Having a solid year... Big test for Talia on Riewoldt. Grabbing them from everywhere and isn't afraid to work up the ground regularly. Big tank.

Will have to play well.

McKay safe for a week, but Porps needs form. Crouch in.

Lets see if we can get 500+ posts on the inevitable change of Hendo for Porps :D

Sando has already said Crouch will have a run in the SANFL. Lyons did more than enough to get a full game. Fantastic when he came on :thumbsu:
True re crouch... I'd give Hendo a run then!

Won't be wholesale changes this week for a change, not sure how much we can take from an 135 point flogging..apart from the 4 points and 25% points. The Saints at home should be a winnable game so I am going option A. Don't think we'll get to 500 post Hdecure;)

Porps you've been great, but you are a shell of the player you once were and modern footy waits for no-one...Westies are calling for a while me thinks...Hendomania in and probably as the sub.

Kedge or Keg or Dolph..anyway Pets ain't getting a game as a forward any time soon...has taken his chance with both hands.
Lyons deserves a full game in and around the stoppages. Will be good to see how he goes against the Saints. Laird on Milne or Smith.

Agree that Sauce should have had a rest this week and played or even subbed him off halfway. Was better this week, but we lost the hitouts 39-26 with Sauce having 22. Saw him jump today, but think we need to concede we will lose the rucks again this week and now the chance to rest him has been lost as we have a tough next 5 games before the bye, just seems to be off the pace with his reactions and movement.

Will be a good chance to watch the Saints tomorrow night...I've said it before...they are in a whole lot of trouble when their stars begin to fade. Goddard saw the writing on the wall.

Except that this is his 2nd good game in a row, which would tend to indicate that he's not in any danger of being dropped at all.

Porps on the other hand, was truly awful today and has barely played a passable game all season.

The OUT is easy (or it should be if the selectors have their heads screwed on right). The IN comes down to a decision between Crouch & Hendo. Gut feel is that Hendo will get the nod, with Crouch being given a run in the SANFL to regain match fitness - returning to the AFL team the week after.

Follow the Hendo for Porps crowd with Crouch spending the week in the SANFL.

Worry about Jacobs and if he gets smashed in the ruck against McEvoy and Goldstein and how much harder that'll make those two games to win.

The changes v GWS thread got to 875 posts....

Yeah I think Porps has run out of time for now. One good half against Brisbane isn't enough for a third of a season.

I don't think Hendo is a guaranteed swap though. Was his form good enough to come back in after a few weeks with no SANFL practice? It apparently wasn't good enough to come straight back in today. Would imagine that anyone coming in would be the sub though, with Lyons starting in the middle.
