I didn't see the game today, but I've got no doubt Hislop is ready for AFL.
There's a little bit of Shaun Higgins about him, he's just got one of those bodies that is ready to go.
Laycock is more mobile than Hille.
I don't get it, St Kilda don't have a great ruck outfit at the moment and we want to drop one. How bout trying to exploit a weakness?
St Kilda aren't that quick either, how bout we drop Winderlich, Stanton, Lovett, Davey and Jetta?

IMO, if Camporeale and JJ are fit.
In: J Johnson, Camporeale, NLM
Out: Dyson, Heffernan, Jetta
Johns would be picked after todays 6 goals...
I doubt Hird will be rested. Just wont be on the field as much as yesterday..
In: Johns
Out: Jetta
I also think with the 4 day break JJ may be rested but would he play for Bendigo? Because he will have a short break for ANZAC Day anyway if he did

We also have Paddy Ryder who can play ruck. Hes very mobile as well. When/If Kosi goes in there Ryder can follow him. It would be a great experiece for him I think.
The Saints backline is a running defence. Why wouldnt you attack that weakness and play Johns? Looked in great form today, and with Lloyd and Lucas looking good, it could be a good mix against the Saints. That then gives the question, who do you drop? I didnt say Laycock has to go, but if they bring in Johnson, it may happen for the Saints game, then Laycock would be back for the Magpies game.
And as marcuz said, Jetta didnt get much time yesterday. Players overlooked him sometimes when he was in good positions and that doesent help either. If he can go down to the 2s and play a full game and do really well, it would be great for him I think.
IN: Johns, Hislop
OUT: Peveril, Jetta/Watson
IN: Johns, NLM
OUT: Pev, Laycock
- Feel we need a third tall forward that is more imposing that Laycock. Paddy can back Hille up if necessary. The big fella should be able to ruck out 75% of the game and hopefully prove to me he isnt worthless. Laycock should go back and find some form and then come back in. His a liability when the ball hits the floor. Johns should play FF and stretch their defence
- NLM, if his fit brings more to the team than Pev IMO. Pev has been in great form, dont get me wrong and Im not against him staying in the team, but there was nobody else I want to exclude other than maybe Heff.
- Maybe even bring Houli in for Jetta, not too sure though
St Kilda Matchups
Riewoldt - McPhee
Gherig - Michael
Kosi - Ryder
Fletch - floater
Milne (will he play?) - Slattery
Dal Sano - Heff
Hayes - Watson
if someone was to debut it would be Hislop. Houli hasn't shown he is ready for AFL yet
Has Hislop? Don't get me wrong, I think he has a lot of talent but he's only played one proper VFL game and the only senior football he's played is the All-Stras game. I think he should string some VFL games to gether before he's thrown in.
IN: Johns, Hislop
OUT: Peveril, Jetta/Watson
Thats why i said if someone was too...
Absolutely. Can't see any reason why JJ shouldn't be back, and definitely not at the expense of WatsonIf would be footy suicide if we dropped both Pev and Watson this week.
In: JJ ( unless he needs another run in the twos )
Out : Jetta ( needs a full run in the twos )
If the balls doesn't land on his chest and it goes to ground, Johns would be useless and as we saw yesterday, we haven't eradicated our poor disposal into our forward 50 just yet.
