You would think THIS would have to be Toy's last chance. Needs to show something, anything at all. Depending on fitness either Toy or Matera to be the sub. Liking the ins though. Matera is a vitally important player for us, liking Brennan at centre half forward also. Surprised Mckenzie has kept his spot too, we need a huge lift out of him.

Good catch there Sunny, I reckon after Jack kicked 8 on the Saints last week, smart move to put a Brennan at CHF just to take advantage of a weakened Saints defence.

Only question is whether he'll start there. And Matera in is also a good sign. I've got a feeling in my water we might get very very close.

I also reckon if you can get Hickey resting down forward, with his contested marks he will stretch the Saints defense a lot and may draw a couple of free kicks.

He probably did alright, I probably (unfairly) have high expectations for him after how he turned it on last year. I sometimes forget they are only young players and need time to mature. I just hope he uses last week as a building block and continue onwards and upwards.

Interupted pre season for such a young player didn't help. Keep playing him as it's all one big learning period for the kids. Young teams need a good start, unlike round 2 when the saints jumped us. Need to hit the scoreboard early like the Essendon game as we struggle to run out games.
