That sucked. I guess we could say Hickey showed a bit, Rory Thompson wasn't too bad. Brennan was better. But ah, yeah, I'm a sad panda.:(

Going backwards, getting worse, insipid, putrid, all of the above, interesting to hear how Bluey justifies giving Riewoldt a whole 50 to run around in, kids need to learn team defence not just as long as my player doesn't get it I'm safe, GWS wouldn't do that, no structure or game plan, missing easy targets. Seriously soon no one is going to show up, who would want to watch us get belted every week, need the bye ASAP.

Brown injured, another one to add to a growing pile.

Doubting we will win a game this year, and that is sad to be thinking that in round 11.

i will be surprised if we have any supporters at the end of the season. really disappointing

I was thinking this around Round 7:(:(:(:(

I couldn't be bothered today..I have little enough spare time without throwing it away on high priced poser wannabes
My wife is committed and went with the kids..afterall we did shell out for premium memberships.
She was home by 3/4 time and said she won't be bothered and that we won't be buying memberships next year
maybe just a reaction, but I was a bit surprised to hear her say it.

I get knocked for being negative about our perceived lack of improvement but I am sorry I still can't see any this year, hard to watch week in and week out. I am sure the club is doing all it can to put fingers in this leaking dyke but we struggle with the basics like hitting a target, that lies with the coaching team.

Add Brown to the hit-list.

I'm not as disappointed as I was compared to the round 2 result. I genuinely thought the boys tried their guts out this afternoon, but fatigue is clearly starting to set into the young boys. Which, given the senior players that are out, involves most of our 22.

When the boys were still good to go, I thought the structures, in particular the defensive structures held up well. Sweeping it out with some skill. But then they just hit the wall and fell apart across the ground.

We're seriously limping to the bye now. The boys looked absolutely buggered midway through the second, and was downhill from there. The absence of Swallow and Prestia have really robbed us of some much needed class through the middle. Then when we can get it up forward, there is no solid structure. We can't expact the 15-gamer in Day to be our Travis Cloke right now, and Brennan is not the guy you build a forward line around.

With the senior boys injured and such, we've had to rely on the young bodies far too much. Really starting to feel the effects now as the youngins limp to the break. Can only hope that the 1 week off will be enough to bring them back to speed. It at least brings us back Harbrow and Dixon!

Only real highlight for me was seeing Brennan kicking some goals, and the chase down that Rory did on Milera. Was very good! Also good to see Hall get on the board. Matera back was good for us too.

We left 10 mins in to the last quarter and my wife was saying she won't be going for the rest of the year " tired of watching the floggings"I must admit that didn't even try to argue with her. Hard to give her a reason to go apart from having some fun with the twitter on the main board. If she doesnt that wil be only the second game she has missed ever.

Sunny..it's 11 weeks later and we are less competitive with no obvious means of winning.
These are kids who should be jumping out of their skins to play week in week out with superhuman recovery
If you watch the match and see our defenders drawn up the ground so that with the inevitable rebound the opposition kicks it over their heads, you have to ask whether that is the game plan.
Even for thicko Bluey I can't believe that..so obviously the players are simply not listening or not capable of carrying out the gameplan
Either way it's a one way street to oblivion

What the hell is the go with Josh Toy? Was rated so highly but I'm not sure he even gives a shit?

well at least McKenna had the decency to disagree..said the team was disgraceful.
At last he showed some public fury

See, I thought that they were pretty hard at the contest for the first quarter. I put it down to fatigue regarding with how the Saints got up from then on, but I'm always willing to stand corrected by the Coach. ;)

If they did just turn their toes up like he's saying, then that is disappointing. Good to see Bluey showing some passion though.

I don't buy the youngsters fatiguing bs
They've had a year of TAC a year of VFL and nearly 2 seasons of AFL
They are just havin' a laff

The other thing is this is our homeground FFS
Not some sterile ground under a roof 2000km away
Show some respect to your club, your supporters, your town
Show some soul
Do something, anything

Was that on the Suns website? Would like to see it as hopefully the penny has dropped that this blind faith and excuse making is not helping the team develop.

I will admit I got a chuckle out of getting my 90's cartoon reference up there and it wasn't even the worst one up there.

But I'll still keep the faith, Looking forward to getting some front row tix next year for when we start winning games, Then watch the fairweather sheep come back.

Not you guys but more the hipsters that piss off when it started raining.

Strange as he was a stand out junior but just can't make the jump to senior football

We've got a few like that although Josh is an obvious one. Drops his head really early. One of the commentators suggested that if these kids were placed in a side with 20 senior players they would advance quickly. Our problem is they're surrounded by 18 other kids. Slows the growth rate somewhat.
