So who will be the unlucky stiff to miss out so Simmo can get his Retirement game? After such a hard fought break through victory, barring injury, i want to see NO changes. Sorry Simmo:eek:

The only one i could possibly see out would be King for Foley if fit and probably Polak for Simmo.:

In: Foley, Simmonds
Out: Polak, King.

I hope they keep Giffiths in. Showed plenty in a quarter, 5 disposals, 1 mark and 1 tackle before being rested for the rest of the match. I reckon he will play on Friday night in conditions much better suited to him. Hopefully.

Nason is due for a rest as he has played every game so far. But it would be cruel to reward him with that after his performance yesterday.

King will no way in a million years be dropped, he was fantastic yesterday, one of our best.

King did play well on Rodan yesterday and White had a decent game too but if Foley is fit, surely he comes in for one of King, White or Collins.

Polak will go out for Simmo, got monstered in the ruck and didn't really have too much impact on the game.

Collins and Edwards both failed to capitalise on the wet weather conditions, poor decision making from both, not sure whether Edwards had a job though so his lack of disposal might be forgiven. Foley will probably come in for one or the other.

We will see both Foley and Simmo in most likely however one may be for Griffiths. Dunno how bad his corky is but they'll rest him if it is bad and will probably rest him just in case anyway (by rest, I mean Coburg). No use getting further beat up in a loss, plus, gives Collins and Edwards another chance that they probably deserve. (I'd still love to see Griff kick 6 on Zac the Hack)

Why would you rest Griffiths at Coburg?
If he's right to play he''ll get another game with Richmond.
If he's not right he wont play at all, I'd be thinking.

No idea, who they will drop after yesterday's game - maybe Polak or Griffiths (depening on his injury). They might decide to rest a couple of players.

I am assuming if Foley is fit, he will be back.

Given Griff didn't play the second half I'd suggest he might miss the week to give Simmo his farewell game, if Foley is right to go then Polak goes out for him. Against the Saints at the Dome we need more runners than talls.

I'd like to see us lining up as follows:
B: Moore McGuane Farmer
HB: Edwards Deledio Newman
C: Tambling Cotchin Webberley
HF: Astbury Riewoldt Cousins
F: Nahas Simmonds Nason
R: Graham Tuck Martin
I/C: Foley Collins White King

Then round 12 vs WC
B: Moore Gourdis Farmer
HB: Deledio McGuane Newman
C: Tambling Cotchin Jackson
HF: Astbury Griffiths Cousins
F: Nahas Riewoldt Nason
R: Graham Tuck Martin
I/C: Connors Foley Webberley/Edwards Vickery/Browne

Post was the best for Coburg yesterday in their narrow 6 point loss. 4 goals in a dominant forward display!:thumbsu:

...HE IS A FORWARD. But you cant fit Post, Astbury, Griffiths in the same forwardline.

I didnt think Collins did to bad. We cant drop him after one game in wet conditions. Also Edwards can afford to have the odd bad game. he will bounce back this week.

Personally I think it a bit selfish for someone to have a farewell game. Can't he do a lap in the back of a ute or something before the match?

Same team. Why Simmonds deserves a game I have no idea. He would not get a game next week if he was not retiring, if he wants a send off game he should earn it first at Coburg.

Harsh, but I honestly cannot see why he deserves to come into a team that played as well as they did this weekend. I would be deeply annoyed if Angus got dropped for Simmonds.

lol at edwards being dropped, has beaten both stanton and rodan in the last 2 weeks.

king and polak out they wont be there next year

foley and simmonds in
I agree. King did a good job and White did ok but they are not the future and thus:

Polak (for one week) and White (for Foley)

Can people stop saying Nason needs a rest. he is a 20 yr old kid and can handle playing 22 games, unless this is proven otherwise we will keep playing him.

Griffiths at the dome would be good....

I agree 110% Simmo has been fantastic for us, but he is no Richo. Served us well like he did with Melbourne and Freo. If he was totally Tiger fair enough, but this is throwing the development ballance out after a sensational first up win. If he really wanted to do the right thing for the team, jump in the back of a ute.

My mistake, I thought it was King on Rodan, I gladly take that back.
I thought Kingy had Pierce in the first half and Rodan in the second half. He has been sensational after comming back, and im starting to think that this "He is not part of our future" is not true. His game on Davey was first rate, and was almost faultless. Yesterday I liked how he had 11 possesions as a tagger and 11 of those were contested:)
He will line up first bounce on Milne.

Ill go

OUT- Nason (rest) McGuane (rest )
In- Simmo Foley (if fit)

Moore played every game so far and will rest next week for a 2 week break.

If this is our home game, then why the **** is it being played at Etihad?? The AFL just go out of their way to spoon feed the Dogs and Saints games at this joint:thumbsdown:

Whats all this crap about players needing rests? they rotate more than ever before.

Moore should be able to play every week, he is a seasoned AFL player.

Simmonds shouldnt be getting a game under ANY circumstances. What has he played 65 odd games for Richmond? Next people will be wanting duds like Tom Hislop to get send off games when he gets the boot at the end of the year.

I remember other tools a few years back wanting Chris Hyde to get a farewell game

If you havent played 10 years + and 200 games for RICHMOND - no handout farewell games!

I feel better now:)
