The problem with Jetta is when they pan out for a wide angled camera view he looks completely disinterested, not marking a player and not working hard to make position. It's almost as if he's hoping he'll get lucky and a ball will find it's way to him and he can show what he can do. Can't afford to have that players like that in the team when there are so many guys chomping at the bit to get in the team, win their own ball and use it.

Watch him at the game...way worse than what you see on tv.

All eyes on Brander tomorrow, a big game and surely he plays against the Swans? Although with Ryan back we could be tempted to go small.

Why do people want Jetta out? He wasn't that bad I thought

I question his role as much as anything else.

Worst disposal efficiency of any of our backs and he's weak defensively. He's meant to be back there to provide kicking skills, run and carry and general rebound. He's so far away from his best football at the moment that it's concerning.

Could honestly keep Nelson in and release Cole more for offensive duties.

Think Jetta's at the end of the line. He's been losing his pace for a while and now its at point where he isn't even confident to use it. With no contested game and defensive side, his kicking is the only thing thats getting him games and now thats also falling apart.

His kicking into F50 is still good. I reckon we should move him away from defence and make him a designated kicker from the wing/HF.

Jetta could do with a rocket if we need to drop a defender. We need his ball use at its best and we need him at the very least pressuring the kick. I think at his best he and Hurn are a deadly combo.

If Duggan and Cole continue to back themselves in and hit attacking targets he may become somehwat redundant. I wouldn't count him out yet, he's shown enough but in a slump, we have a few at the moment.

Out: Jetta
In: Our next best half back flanker

Jetta needs an absolute rocket after that performance. Just lazy, half assed efforts and trying to do too many stupid cute kicks and spent the game looking like he couldn't be bothered.
Like another Josh Hill on the team.

Out of contract and would be getting $3-400k pa to play on you would think. Average these days is $350k.

That could be the difference in keeping Gov and or Gaff.

It will be interesting if the coaches / selectors see it that way. Strange attitude from him in indigenous round, normally he fires up a bit.

It’s often easy to get frustrated at players who look “disinterested” or don’t seem to be putting in the effort or whose skills are down. A great example was my annoyance with gaff last season. My point is that it’s easy for us to say player x or y needs a rocket but in actual fact they may be playing with niggles/soreness. I think it’ll be easier to judge these things in the first few games after the break

I feel like the people foaming at the bit for Jetta's head are the same people who called for Lecca, Darling, Gaff etc heads. I'm backing in Simmo and match committee who are 10-1 to have a better understanding of players, niggles and roles. Jetta has not been in great form but if he can get up and about its good for the club. From all reports Jetta is a fantastic presence on the training track and in the rooms. Im hoping we can see the best of Jetta for the back half of the season and a repeat of his finals form.

Only if he’s unfit, which may be the case coming back from a leg injury. Otherwise he is straight back in as our best small forward.

By all reports he has absolutely been dedicated to his rehab

I reckon bring him straight in and play closer to goal. Rioli is fit enough to push up the ground more.

Think some of the goldfish here have already forgotten how good Jetta was for us earlier in the year. Sure he'd be on the chopping block after this weekend's effort, but he's been no less consistent than some other borderline 22 players (Sheed Hutch Nelson) over the whole of the year.

Yeah, like Sheed he hasn't been up to speed since returning from injury.
