I used your own stat of a 17 possession wingman then you return serve with the single example of K.McIntosh’s quiet GF in 2017? WTF that’s not a counter argument.

Neither is an analysis of Norm Smith Medal voting. 75% of votes in it, like the Brownlow, are raffled amongst the inside mids.

Gus Brayshaw isn’t a wingman. He’s a plodding but very capable inside midfielder. 17 touches from him isn’t going to be anywhere near us damaging as 17 touches from a Brad Hill or a Shai Bolton. That’s indisputable.
You've been making the point that we can't win a flag with Gus on the wing and highlighting the last 8 premierships in your argument. I'd argue the wings have had bugger all to do with the last 8 flags, hence the stats I posted. Are the teams best players raffled amongst inside kids too? What makes you think Rivers is going to play better on a wing, a position he's never played than Brayshaw is doing. And why would you take him out of the backline when he's been superb down there and Gus has been fine on a wing.

******* hell the sooking is incredible.
North board 100% confident of him getting weeks, all of a sudden just a meltdown and we are favoured by the AfL

so funny, why do they even care really? Powell is perfectly fine and we don't play north.

People are just babies, I can't even remember caring about someone getting weeks. Maybe Rance when he clubbed Watts but even that I didn't care about.
Majority of suspensions come from accidents these days.

Please don’t question me again Dee_Mac if you can’t keep up with the flow. Lets just agree that you’re wrong and move on.

I'd expect Horse to stretch our defence by bringing in Franklin or Blakey, so TMac will have to go back. Anyone suggesting that we can flirt with fortune by playing Petty doesn't know our history at Melbourne.

Out: B. Brown, Tomlinson, Baker
In: M. Brown, Weid, Lockhart

I know Lockhart isn't a like-for-like for Baker, but anyone who can walk off the MCG with a ruptured testicle has my undying admiration. He can play any position that he wants to play.

If it were me in that situation, I'd still be out there, rolling around like a sook, refusing to budge until someone got Margot Robbie to come out, crush some ice between her teeth and blow cool, gentle, soothing air onto my nuts.

Whaaat? Bolton has played a lot of game time over the past two seasons through the middle of the ground. Kozzy is a specialist forward.
Bro you're f’ed.
You mentioned specific wingers, then Bolton as a generic midfielder even though he plays the centre bounce. The exact same bloody role as Pickett.

Petty confirmed in for Tomlinson.

Makes me very, very uneasy. He's young and needs time to prove himself, sure. But we're pushing for a flag and I'm s t r e s s e d about him taking the second best forward each week

Could we play Jackson back? TMac was great when he went back. Petty seems to be the logic if Weideman misses out again. Melksham was terrible once again, luckily Fritsch is suspended.

Under the microscope:
Spargo - 10 touches, kicked a goal but looked flat
ANB - 10 touches, no impact at all, caught with the ball a few times which stopped momentum at times.
Jones - 14 touches, battled hard, might be due for a stint at Casey.

Casey:
Weideman - Needs his chance at AFL level, kicked 4.3 with 17 touches, 10 marks.
Harmes - 27 touches, 2 goals, looks set to play v Swans
Sparrow - 31 touches, 0.3
Bowey - 23 touches
Chandler - 2.3, 17 touches

Ins - Weideman, Harmes
Outs - Tomlinson, Jones

B - Hibberd, May, Lever
HB - Salem, McDonald, Rivers
C - Langdon, Petracca, Brayshaw
HF - Pickett, Weideman, Spargo
F - Jackson, B Brown, Fritsch
Foll - Gawn, Oliver, Harmes
Int - Baker, Melksham, Jordan, Hunt
Sub - ANB

What has Goody done wrong here? Damned if he does put TMac back damned if he doesn’t. Big season for Petty coming up, he’d want to prove himself or his career will be in trouble.
He's named a player who isn't up to the task when he already has a player who clearly is up to it.

Don't know why you'd say he'd be damned for playing TMac back. Who would damn him for that? it's not as if we don't have good alternatives up forward.

TMac touched it twice in a half against their second key back. Will be interested to see how he backs it up.

I'm not convinced by Petty but if he has May and Lever beside him he should be ok.
I'd stick Weid on the bench so Tmac can swing back if it doesnt work though:)
