12 possessions man isn’t enough

Walker had 7+ shots - 2 were while in the ruck but still can’t give up that many shots

Tucker a little bit lucky but think clarko likes to keep a few senior body players

Walker had 5 of the shots in the ruck or joe the gooses/play on advantage.

Context.

Logue is the biggest surprise for mine. He was dogshit in round 1. Would’ve preferred he go through the VFL to regain some touch.

The in’s only make sense if Comben or Logue goes forward.

Feel like Pink was pretty hard done by too.

I don’t understand why we would select him either. Only select players on form etc not name

I'm not sold on the Logue inclusion either. Can imagine the melts on here if he has a shit game.
I'll be one of them. I love Logue, but it's not like he was in form before injury. Unless he's burning the training track up he should be at least playing a round in the VFL so they can see where he's at.

Nah rather not waste games on a list clogger like pink

Right decision
It's a week by week selection, he was pretty good last week deserved another week in my opinion. Wouldn't hurt Logue to find some touch in the VFL, then make the switch next week based on form. Makes no sense to me to rubber stamp some one as not selectable in any circumstances which seems to be what you are suggesting re Pink.

Logue barely played a game in 2 years. He's an AFL quality KPD. He will settle back in - probably has very little trust in his body

Quietly confident.

Clearly the elder Warner, Blakey and Heeney are guns that you can't underestimate. But the squad elsewhere is far from remarkable.

Their best 23 is still thereabouts for finals, but this weekend, with no Mills, no Papley and no Gulden, they're lacking in star power across the ground.

For starters, McCartin's struggling as a forward, and then you've got a couple prime spuds in Hamling and Ladhams.

In the fullness of time Cleary and Hanily might turn out to be good players, but right now they're kids who are just getting a taste of the top level.

Can't write it down as a dead cert, but its the game I'm most confident about until we face the Bombers in a month.

Logue has only missed a couple of games. He's basically a veteran in our team. You wouldn't bring Larkey back through the VFL for the same. If he's fit enough he's in.

Who plays forward is the big question though. Hopefully not Chom for my SC draft team

Logue isn’t a veteran, he’s played 82 games. I don’t care how old he is. We now have Parker, Darling, Daniel etc.

Larkey was an AA 30 games ago. He’s slightly different

Logue has played 82 games in 8 seasons and he was shit in preseason.

He shouldn’t be an auto inclusion, I have no doubt he’s in our best 22, but he should prove he’s match fit.

Even from the point of view of reliability, so he doesn’t break down mid game or after we’ve activated a sub.

I don’t see any difference with the Wardlaw situation. GW is in our best 10 and a better player than Logue, he needs match fitness and is rightfully doing it in the VFL.

Yeah... but.... but .... it's been 18 years since we've beaten them at Docklands....

All streaks must end, but you have to wonder.
We were better than them the last time we played them at Docklands, but then we buggered up the interchange at the worst possible time.

Last time I saw the two teams live was at the SCG in 2022, where we played better for more than 3 quarters, but our collective lack of fitness and amateur coach killed our momentum in the run home.

Its time.

He totally wasn't dogshit in round 1, was in our top couple of defenders before getting injured. He was dogshit in preseason no doubt.

I hope they throw Logue forward.

They may mix and match a bit with Logue/Comben/Whitlock playing forward at times.
