I think you have told us b4 that your Reddo's mate?

I think Redden makes sense. Plonk him in the F50 with 5-10 minute stints in the ruck to give Ryder a chop out. Even when severely fatigued in that NAB game, he looked like a massive target in front of goal.

Also would be much better for the run against Richmond.

Expect an interesting surprise at selection tonight...

Last time you said nice surprise and it was redden. Nice as in referencing feel good news

This time you say interesting surprise. I reckon this is hinting a debut someone who is unexpected and viewed as not ready yet. Am I along the lines?

my bet is mitch Harvey..............................or dougie

What's this junk about Impey not having a match up??
He's a defender so we'll put him on a dangerous forward of even use him to defend one of their backmen who may be normally too damaging for us, the lad just played a great game and here's hoping that he's given a tough task and prevails again.

i think redden in for 3 quarters before being subbed, letting paddy ruck out the 4th. pretty disappointed if butch is out, but i can't see it being anyone else unless someone has picked up a knock.

is he that much worse off than redden?
In the case edit to dougie

Yes. Fitness issues aside Redden is an outstanding ruckman who's deft tap work will give our mids a definite advantage at stoppages. Harvey is a young forward who only played in ruck last year because the Magpies simply didn't have a recognised ruckman available.

Tredders on Triple M said Lobbe is doubtful again, but he reckons Redden may come in. Butch not likely to get a 2nd go according to Tredders.

So Tredders also reads BigFooty.

I hope we don't get burned bringing in another underdone player.
We probably can't ruck Paddy and Westhoff again. If Redden is fit enough and Lobbe can't go we should play him. Eagerly waiting for the team announcement being on holidays from work for a week is giving me to much time to over think about our game on the weekend.

Some of Reddo's ruckwork when he was up and about last season could be described as Lade like, it's great to see him selected, his lack of match fitness could be an issue though.

It's going to be good to see Redden back. I can't think that Hinkley has anything too much intended for him. I would expect him to stay in the forward lines, clunk marks in the goalsquare and save Ryder from having to come any further than the middle of the ground by doing the forward rucks. This should allow Ryder to stay on the ground and keep up a lone ruck position for the full night.
Whatever has been said here in the past, it seems that Redden has regained at least enough fitness to run out a game. I can't see Hinkley going with half-fit players. But I'm starting to worry about Lobbe. The first call on this board that he may miss was done 3 days before the Freo game and it was originally touted as something they were being careful about. Now he has missed two and Port in the past have said that an injury is a 1 or 2 week thing and it then stretches out to 4 or 6.

On the up side The Swans aren't about to let someone who is 205 cm tall and can kick straight run around on his own. If someone runs off of him a turnover would be embarrassing if they don't get back on Redden quickly enough. Redden will win the taps, if his radar is on Ollie Boaky and Robbie will get the best service they have had in the time Kens been there. Really looking forward to watching how this ends up.
