In- Young, Lobbe and Krakouer/ Moore

Test now for Kennys Mantra

Play well or someone will take your place

Over to you Ken...Hope the passes have an expiry date
Geez it shits me. We were almost in a GF last year. We lose a game over in WA by 7 points with a ruck who has NEVER played with our team before and 4 other underdone players and you rubbish Ken's decision making? Give me a break!

Do you have a sexual relationship with Paul Stewart?

Are you his sister?

Are you related to him?

One of these will explain why you have such an obsession.

Edit: Sorry, one more possibility. Are you Paul Stewart?

I'm guessing he is a troll.

No, I think the notion that the fixture is particularly bad for us is laughable. We play on a Friday night at home in Round 23. That should be a pretty handy advantage when it really matters.

Where did you get this from? We have 2 friday night games against Geelong and Hawthorn. Rd 23 we play freo. Fixture hasn't been finalised.

Sorry just seen it has been posted already.

Not related but I know him well along with a lot of the Power players...I am only on his case because I am so impressed with what he has done this year and also the limited opportunities he had last year..If we can give Neade and Butcher a go (based on What??) surely we can consider a versatile performer who is doing well..Geez some are criticising him because he played a blinder against Goodwood.....I will get on somebody else's wagon soon

Are these the same players you claim were shitcanning Hinkley in another thread?

It's a tough one because you want to stabilize the team and get some heat into them but we did have 5 with no pre season games (except Hamish in the first nab game), a couple (White and Neade) in shocking pre season form while 2 who had great pre season form (Young and Krak) sat out. No first ruckman against Sandilands of all people (sure it worked last year but we a full running team on a hot streak), it looked like we were carrying too many players but that being said to lose by only 7 pts when they were white hot at home is a pretty encouraging result.

He started off excellently, as evidenced by him getting mugged on and off the ball at just about every contest thereafter.

I'm all for marking harshly given where we're at from a strategic sense, but with a friendlier crowd reaction to him getting fancy a bum'd every three seconds he could well have had the vital 1 or 2 extra goals that Pav received when it mattered most.
The protection that Pavlova received which wasn't replicated at the other end was an issue. Pav even threw inthe occasional classic Clangerfield wince for good measure.

Its been said several times

In: Lobbe Young

Out : Butcher, Neade

Young to sub

A few times I saw Butcher in a good lead or in space inside 50 and being ignored, once by Wingard selfishly going for goal... He wasn't great, but the only reason I would drop him is because I would rather have Lobbe in the side.

Neade. Gah. He has good traits, but I would have had Aaron Young in the side over Neade without hesitation.

AND STOP SAYING YOUNG FOR SUB. HE IS BETTER THAN THAT.

Monfries. Well... That was just embarrasing. Worst sub performance for a while.

Summary... IN: Lobbe, Young. OUT: Butcher, Neade. White to sub. Monfries to play a great full game or go to maggies

keep the faith, we lost because of composure really, nothing else

It's been said numerous times already but...

In: Lobbe, Young
Out: Butcher, Neade

Don't really mind who's the sub (preferably between White and Young), but just give Monfries a full game.

In - Lobbe in is a no-brainer. If he's not fit then I'd take a Redden who'll blow up over a half to let Ryder play forward for the first half. Then stick Redden on the bench from half time through three quarter time to recover than ruck the last to allow Ryder forward in the fourth.

Out - Butcher.

When all our mids are fully match fit there are games I'd play him along with Schulz, Lobbe, Ryder and Hoff. It is only possible when we have enough run with our smalls though. And the next three or four weeks as all get back up to speed is not it. Until then a second ruck is a much higher priority.

Neade was misused last night. With Lobbe (or Redden) in he'll be forward at the feet of a ruck and his crumbing will be a major plus for us and headache for the opposition. Like the pre-season we haven't yet been able to see Neade used properly yet, so let's not jump to judge his output in our forward line, when we were running one cobbled together last night.

Sub - White. For the long run Monfries as sub to ease him
In was fine, but it's not something to do outside of that. Gus to start forward next week.

Obvious one is Butcher out for Lobbe

next one would be Neade out for Krakouer.
It was obvious last night we can't play both Impey and Neade.

Neade goes missing for large part of games. He needs to improve the gap between his bad and good, otherwise he'll keep on getting exposed at AFL level.

Butch comes out for Lobbe, obviously.

Not sure about the general consensus re swapping Neade for Young. If Neade was preferred to Young for round one then surely he deserves more than one game to prove that he deserves a spot in the team. I know Young is close and had a great pre-season but it might be a bit early for revolving door team selections like that.
