Feel free to find his classic Eddie games since the bye then and tell me what they are.
He kicked 4 goals, 4 points last week.

Wtf are you watching?

You do realise players have precautionary scans all the time & are often cleared to play. My ex used to perform many of them.

So I ask you for the 3rd time, who is struggling like last year?
Players don't have precautionary scans 'all the time'

They have scans if they are sore to find out why and how bad it is

What's true is the players play injured all the time. You have to. No player would be fully fit at this stage of the season but at 70-90% fitness you can get by.

If you never played anyone who wasn't 100% fit you'd never get a team on the park or win a game.

The only time you don't have to risk it is when you've had a great season and stitch up a top two spot with games still to play. Bliss. Luxury. Rare.

Only a fool would squander it.

What you're advocating with your 'don't flirt with form' position is to do exactly what we've always done. And to do the opposite of what all recent premiership teams have done.

Do you think the Hawks suddenly had 8+ 'really genuinely sore players' all those times after they'd stitched up their finals spot?

Niggles can get a rest. I doubt we will, but we really need to rest people that are not 101% by Wednesday.

I was pretty shitty with Cameron early, but he came good. Knight was shitful, but I wouldn't drop him from the one poor game.

I have mentioned numerous times I'm comfortable resting a couple of players if they are really sore... but resting 4 for the sake of it against the Swans is just stupid.
Why does the number of players make any difference?

If it's in our long term finals interest to freshen up 1, 3, 5, 7 or however many sore players there are then you do it.

Think you would be surprised by how many scans players have & usually they play the following week.

That is a fact. ;)

You are smarter than that Carl.

Resting 4 players is telling the Swans you are not taking them seriously. 2 changes is about average.

Can't believe people are honestly suggesting we should be resting players? Isn't that what the end of season bye is for? Go all out in the next 2 matches, build the confidence, get the morale high and we can give them a week off when the fixture warrants it

I just said that no one is fully fit.

Usually you have to take players in who aren't 100%.

The only time you don't is when you find yourself in the position we are now.

This is the ONE ADVANTAGE we hold over every other team in the competition right now. No one else has the luxury we do. And you want to waste it!

So the Hawks weren't serious during their dynasty?

Resting a few players now tells the Swans we have our eyes on the prize. Spending petrol on a dead rubber tells them we're a club that doesn't know how to win in September. And is scared of facing them.

Walker and Sloane are obviously sore now. The bye doesn't coincide with their injuries. Sore with back-to-back six day breaks. It's a no brainer.

Honestly think we'll beat Sydney comfortably on Friday. I'm still not sold on them completely they beat a injury ridden GWS beat a Cats team with no Danger, Selwood, Motlop and Menzel. and also lost to the Hawks.

So yeah right now honestly think we'll win comfortably unchanged

Both will be fine mate. I love how this club thinks we now have top spot so the hard work is done. But the cue in the rack.

Only way to build momentum is continuity. The players are building something special and being out on the park is what is driving that. No one will rest, particularly the Captain and Vice-Captain of our footy club.

You try telling Tex n Rory they're missing Friday night vs the Swans

I'm sorry but that's Failed Crows Finals Campaigns 101 there

I think it's easy to forget how volatile the form of our first 22 can be. We need our leaders on the ground at all times. Suggesting that they should be rested is tempting fate.

If this was next year or the year after when being the best in the league is old hat you could afford to do it, but if we got smashed because we rested Tex, Sloane, Sauce, etc there is no telling what that could do to the form of our inexperienced players.

100% agree.

I wish we had the maturity to go the resting pathway but we don't...yet.
