Thanks for the back up but how was it a mistake? 'He gets through he plays' is i believe the phrase i used.

Ok not a mistake. A wishful statement that didn’t come true? Btw I completely agree with you. He is more valuable in the seniors.

True but they're no where as depleted as we are, no other team is. it's only our system that is keeping us in it - even then there's a breaking point. Just hope and pray we haven't reached it.

Yes l hope we havent either, but this Saturday l think we will be a bit too quick for Sydney around the ground.

You think he could come in and play Scharenbergs role Dave?

Not 100% Sure. Being so New to Footy. I see him more of a Dunn type. More KPD who has Loud Voice on the Field

Time will tell, agree we'll have transition speed over them by leg or by disposal - so long as we can keep playing the system. That's the concern have we reached tipping point?

Hopefully Howe gets up.
McLarty in, Mihocek to replace Shaz. Fas in for Daicos, Sier for Brown.

I think Fas demands more attention than daicos, and while defensively he can be poor, he's also capable of kicking 4+ on his day. Gives us WHE, JT, Fas, Stevo, JDG (when he returns) as players that can all kick big bags. I think we are noticeably faster so could cover Fas better.

Gives us in forwards rotations which imo, is a potent enough group.

WHE, Fas, Cox, JDG, JT, Stevo, McLarty

Moore, Mihocek Howe, Langdon should provide enough height, and Maynard and Crisp with the rebound. Appleby for Murray could be another future change.

Overall, despite the injuries, I think we can put a solid team on the park next week, and if we get luck with Treloar, we will have a formidable midfield, a very capable forward bunch and a solid defence to impact september if we can get enough wins.

Unfortunately Daicos & Brown are still years away from being AFL ready - just young that’s all. Phillips not damaging but will be picked anyway. Murray, can’t forget he’s only played AFL for the first time this year but still not AFL fit more so awareness. Stevo looks well overdue for a rest, reckon give him a spell for 2 weeks then re-road him.

Can’t believe I’m saying this but play Blair again, Sier if fit, Aish needs to comeback, Faz for Stevo and time for McLarty to run to keep Cox deep in the forward line, permanently

Quoting some one in hindsight is not that pleasant.

We all make mistakes.

Yet you queried the need for caution, this highlights exactly why it's needed.

I read it. Even quoted the specific section I highlighted and asked after. So how does it look.

Why is it important for you to only quote one part of the post but leave out the line that makes you look stupid. If he got through the game why wouldn't we pick him? That is actually in my post. Don't worry about answering, once again in a conversation with you, i will leave your inability to comprehend anything alone.

Fasolo was made to do eight weeks of VFL slogging early in the year. Not again please. Straight in after four goals.

On a horses for courses basis Magden gets the nod ahead of McLarty.

In Fasolo Aish Magden
Out Brown Daicos/Mayne Schareneberg

McLarty in if Mihocek doesnt come up

Assume (pray) Howe will play otherwise Oxley to come in. Although not opposed to somebody else coming in (even Blair) and Fasolo or Varcoe going back

Can see us going smaller with Oxley perhaps, playing at the SCG, to come in for Shaz. On the proviso Howe is fit

Fasolo and Aish to come in too for Mayne and Daicos

Is the curse over? No not yet. I’m tipping Blair gets a game soon then. And for all the carers out there, Smith kicked a nice snap goal from the pocket in the last at Avalon Oval today.

Quite a few of you have Mihocek going back and McClarty forward. Mihocek may not play yet depends on his ankle. If he does play he’s better suited forward as he’s a far more accurate kick than McClarty assuming he comes in. The SCG is a small ground. Almost too tight for our roaming forward line. Unless Checkers is out too, I think we will bring in smalls or mids to play the SCG instead.

Have we all forgotten about Howe? He was basically in a car crash yesterday and was never coming back to the game and could miss a few games depending on his health. We could be two down in the back line with no Mihicek to move down back.

Absolutely. Its just awful for the individuals, you know. Guys like Scharenberg, Elliott and Reid who have missed so much footy in their prime years. I feel for them
yeah it's not that I'm pleased about the injuries, they are a drag and it's terrible for Elliot, hate to say it but probably done just when we are coming into the window and it's such a waste of great talent. Still some hope for Reid.

I don't think they'll play Reid back. He will be in our forward line to create a contest and Mihocek will probably go back. I don't see Reid having the mobility and tank to play back anymore.
I think it's more about his legs but this latest operation apparently has helped a lot.

Yep our kpp disaster fully exposed

Will be nice to welcome James Aish back into the side. We've missed him and may he never get injured again.

With Schaz out, and possibly also Howe, then its gotta be McLarty time.

I don’t think debuting a KPP with Mclarty is the answer.

Tbh I don’t know much about the kid but I think throwing him in to early will ruin him.

Goldsack will be ideal if he comes back.
