From the reports on MMM Hot Breakfast this morning between idiot Browne and Eddie it sounds like Mihocek is a good chance to be right.

They didn't talk about Howe.

Howe on the News yesterday said he will train Thursday and be right to go. :thumbsu:

If we debut Magden then I'm hoping for a similar outcome to when we debuted Dunn last year, and Mihocek this year - a very pleasant surprise! When I'm sceptical about what they'll contribute, they inevitably prove me wrong.

McLarty I would love to see selected, but may still be a bit raw; while Magden might just be up for it. We've had a great year for debutants, so why not keep rolling them out? We dont have much choice anyway.
You were surprised when Dunn debuted last year? My reaction was it's about bloody time he got into the team.

I agree Vicky Park get McLarty on the park.

Would be funny (and not for a minute do I think this will happen) but if the Pies managed a Bradbury and won the GF, we would need to order twice the amount of medals to pay tribute to the whole club who pretty much have had a hand in this season. Is there a precedent for this kind of list usage in the H&A season?

GWS only had about 26 players to choose from one game last year. It was still a better side than Carlton's full list

I am expecting a big game from Murray against his old Club.

He knows the ground and has had "two average" games to get back up to speed in the AFL.

He must deliver Saturday night.

The only strategy I want to see Bucks put in place is :

Cox up the ground, around the 50 mark.
Stephenson deep on Grundy or Rampe.
If Grundy decides to follow Cox, that’s a win to us.

I also wouldn’t be afraid of having Cox one out with Grundy. Grundy wouldn’t be able to reach Cox’s arms. He’s losy his jump and pace. Cox might even beat him on the ground.

We take away their intercept play, and we win this. They’re the second best team at Rebounds.

Sydney have the lowest Inside 50’s apart from the 4 bottom teams.

This would have been a great week to have Appleby playing just for him to shut down Ben Ronke. I would also play Greenwood on Lloyd. Similar fashion to how he played Heath Shaw a few years ago. Lloyd averages over 500 meters gained.

Sydney are not in their best form, but they do have quality players who can win a game off their own boot.

Lucky for us they have lost speed over the past couple of weeks in the form of Zak Jones and Gary Rohan. We can’t underestimate them, but I see us wining. Pies by 26 points!

I think Aliir will get Cox.

31 players have played at least 4 games and Blair two, Smith one, Fasolo and Broomhead one but both suffered long term injuries in their only game. Thats 35 players used so far.

Add to that Ellliot and Goldsack who are clearly best 22 and havent played a game. That leaves Oxley as the only experienced player to not play, and then add one gamer Kirby (also unavalaible), and zero gamers McLarty, Magden, T Brown, Murphy, Lynch as the only depth we havent tried yet. And two of them are in line this week!!!!

Five players have played every game (Sidebottom Crisp Phillips WHE and Stephenson although WHE and Phillips both suffered in-game injuries). Three have missed only one game although one of them is Shaz and another is Howe who went down last week. The other was Pendles and I'm pretty sure he didnt see out a match early in the year as well.

See above. I was surprised at how well he went, and continued to go.

Right so Aish, McLarty, Magden and Fas will def. be on the plane. Good news if Sier returns too if we can't reply on JDG for another month.

Treloar going to declare himself fit for Port Adelaide hahaha

Varcoe must play and play as the wrecking ball that he was in 2016.

Trealoar is a freak of nature. Ultimate professional. Have no doubts that he will play again in the H+A season.

Magden Aish and Faz IN
Shaz Mayne Brown OUT

That's what the changes should be. Let's see how they fk it up

Varcoe must play and play as the wrecking ball that he was in 2016.

Varcoe is seriously going backwards.
For mine, he doesn't fill a purpose or need anymore.
He has no scoreboard impact.

It's like playing someone in the midfield and giving them all the midfield minutes and they can't rack up any meaningful touches.

Fas should be in the side well ahead of Varcoe.

I'd play Fasolo this week. VFL form deserves it and you can probably get away with his lack of pressure on the smaller SCG. Hopefully Magden or McLarty gets a run, could be a bit of positive news for the group after Scharenberg injury.

This "lack of forward pressure" thing is getting quite old as it's only mentioned in discussion to Fas.
Varcoe laid a total of zero tackles vs Richmond on the weekend- and he's a guy whose myth about impact and pressure seems to grow every game on the back of virtually nothing.

I agree with you in that Fas should play this week and every week for mine.
It gives us another dimension and goal scoring threat as he is a beautiful set shot with power and distance too, is strong overhead for his size and can snap goals around corners/over shoulders in tight spaces too.

Very concerning about Mihocek walking laps. Silver lining is I'll be pumped to see the beast that is Sam McLarty line up in the seniors.
He isn't really overly big. Beast is embellishing things a tad. I think my arms are bigger than his and I'm 5' 8".:)
