This game is totally ripe for that whole Bloods culture thing. Do they still do that?
Yep they do these satanic blood rituals with a man called horse.

a bit like North and their alleged shinboner spirit.
Last time I saw the real shinboner spirit was when that dirty cheat Kerry Goode lined up ten minutes after the siren went in the Night Final* against us.

This little kid, great spirit ran from the crowd to stand the mark over the dirty cheat. That was real shinboner spirit.

* prefer not to call Night Como Finals As Grand Finals. That’s a ridiculous name for a meaningless comp.

All respect for Alex Johnson for Sydney who is playing his first game since the 2012 grand final due to a constant string of injuries
Fantastic for him

I was thinking exactly the same.

Its not rocket science eh? Basic coaching 101:

When you're up against it...from the media and supporters

1. Grab all the negative headlines and post em up around the place "Are the Swans Cooked?" Buddy Gone?
2. Try bringing in Fav players (McVeigh, Jack, Hannebury, AJ) At the very least FEED the media the line that they're available
2. If you can get a good news story run with it....(AJ)
3. Go the sympathy and team responsibility line with your players "Look at AJ boys, Think about what he's been through to get out here and play again...are WE gonna let him down?"

They'll come out breathing fire this weekend (We've only gotta match it)

Mayne is in charge of the Collingwood twitter account!

I got no chance!

He is part of the reason for our consistency this year........I know you don’t agree......but I think he deserves a Maggie5 hug. :)

Not directed at you but some of the vitriol he copped last year wasn’t fair IMO.

I do agree with you he needs to lift his output now that Aish is ready for seniors.

I really don't give two hoots about last year, I stay in the present and for mine, he is barely filling a need.

I watch certain players very carefully and if you can't see what I have noticed, that is okay too.

What is it they he isn’t doing Maggie5?

I have to say I disagree with you on Mayne, I have him borderline best 22 with a full team despite his annoying habit of holding up play

Have gone over this many times, not going over it again.

In my mind, he has played 5 serviceable quarters the WB game and one other quarter that I have forgotten.

That's okay, I disagreed with a few on Blair a couple of years ago.

Ok

I think Mayne deserves more credit than just what his stats show. He is often responsible for causing the opposition to fumble and I can picture him many times forcing the opposition to take the ball out of bounds. I love his fight back this year.

4. Dig up some dirt (drugs, racism, etc) on the opposition. Bonus points if someone from your club was on the receiving end or if the matter was broader than one opponent - an us vs them mentality.

“It’s a snapshot into a past where people only see us as animals, as primitive beings that people think are lower than a dog,” he said. “That’s where it sort of hit me. I came off (the ground) and just broke down. I just couldn’t believe someone so young could call me that. I knew she didn’t know what it actually meant to call someone an ape and she was probably copying people in the crowd around her (but) it just cut me down.”

Goodes took a swipe at Collingwood boss and radio host Eddie McGuire, who threw petrol on the fire sparked by the young Magpies fan. Goodes said McGuire came into the dressing room after the racism controversy to shake his hand, assuring him his club was doing all it could to stamp out further abuse from its fans.

Days later, McGuire shockingly suggested Goodes should be brought down to Melbourne to promote the premiere of King Kong in an on-air joke gone awry.

“I was like, really? Is this really happening?” a dejected Goodes revealed. “For me it emphasised how we need to have more conversations about what racism is in this country. The microphone had fallen at my feet and I was happy to pick it up.”

Goodes became the target of relentless booing from AFL crowds throughout the 2014 season. The shattered star admitted he thought the off-season following the Swans’ Grand Final loss to Hawthorn would allow the heat to die off. He was wrong.

His form this year makes the fact we have him for the next two seasons a tiny bit more palatable

Two way running is awesome.

Playing at a small SCG might make it easy for that to clog up space.
AS the pundits have been saying, sCG should suit Sydney's style but they ahve been losing there. But that was the same for Weagles and the MCG, so it's def a danger game. Also most teams have a flat one every now and then, we haven't really and consistency has been v good, lets hope that continues but I'm pretty confident.

Sydney Pumped up you would expect nothing else, they are playing for a finals spot!!! We should be pumped up as we are playing for a top 4 spot!!!
Bring the same pressure as the north game and the 1st 3 qtrs against Richmond and we win comfortably.

May have to pay for the 4 points with more injuries but taht's footy.

In: Madgen & Sier
Out: Shaz :( & Brown

Pretty simple really, IMO. Madgen to lock down on McCartin freeing up Howe and Sier gives us much more around the contest at this stage than Brown.

FWIW Aish is best 22, but I don’t see the club pulling the trigger on his return this week. I did laugh at the Mayne tweet. Bloke plays as a fwd for 10 years then moves to a wing with the highest possession team since Geelong 08-11 of course his numbers will rise!
