Hamling would have played every game this season if Young didn't turn his head.

You could argue we'd be a game or 2 better off for it as well.
It really just seemed like an ego problem. Got so offended when we didn't give him the initial two years and then once we did then he had it in his mind that he was leaving despite the fact that he was only ever one injury away from playing a game for us. Now he's being transformed into a depth forward for Sydney in the VFL...

Not indigenous as far as I’m aware. I believe he has Ethiopian heritage. Others here may clarify?

Conrad Williams is the only other indigenous player on the list I think. And well, if they bring him in to preserve a record, when he’s nowhere near AFL level yet, I give up. It won’t happen though.
correct - he is from Ethiopian heritage

He might do a Bradbury and come in for the finals 🤷‍♂️

Jackson to CHB off zero training there against the best side in the comp (by some distance) is one of the worst calls here for a while. I reckon he absolutely could be gun there, but you need to give him at least a few days to train there I would have thought.

2nd the "management" of Fyfe calls. He's an absolute shell of the player he used to be. Same with Sonny.

No, he had a parent pass away and he has a number of family financial responsibilities. He needed a contract deal that would get him as much coin as possible, he had no desire to leave the club at all.

Maybe don't rush to conclusions champ.

I'm not rushing to conclusions, champ, I'm literally going off his own words, which was that he got upset that he got dropped for Cox and he felt disrespected by Freo's initial offer to the point where he didn't even consider it by the time they offered him the second year. That's ego. He's a 30 year old who played like 5 games in 4 years and was depth at best. Comes across as arrogant to say that any offer you receive under those circumstances is disrespectful.

If he wanted people to have a different perception of him and his reasons for leaving he probably shouldn't have said what he said in interviews. No one is going to get upset for him for going for more money to be closer to his partner's family after his Dad passed away. But he definitely made himself sound like a dickhead after leaving. Couldn't even decide which angle to go with. One interview is "I really needed to get out of Perth needed a change" and then next it's all freo's fault and he was disrespected and he "never wanted to leave Perth".

That is just... Insane.

How people don't protest at the AFL HQ, they don't even hide their insane levels of bias and corruption.
It's a nice run for them isn't it.

Away games against Geelong, Collingwood, Melbourne (three in a row) and then St Kilda in there.

6 interstate games for Essendon this year.

Yeah I was being a bit cheeky admittedly, and I didn't know he said those things - he actually said he was upset he got dropped for Cox?

I know he was negatively influenced by Shane Kersten quite a bit but those comments are ordinary if true.

Nothing more Dockery then beating the ladder leaders from out of nowhere with your captain injured.......

Pearce out is hard. Would draper and Davies be possible for taking on Amartey and McDonald.

Bad luck losing 3 KPD along the length of the season.

Wouldn't risk cox yet. Not a game we are expected to win. Can't risk cox coming back to soon.

Might no longer have the luxury of easing Cox back into it with another game in the WAFL.
Its' not a luxury. It's ensuring we don't push Cox too hard too soon and end up losing him for the rest of the season.
Much as I don't want to say it, it's going to take a miracle to win in Sydney. I'd rather lose and not risk Cox.

From the West: “I would have stayed if I got a contract earlier in the year but towards the end of the year I played a few games and there was a game where I came out against Geelong and I thought I should have stayed in and Cox should’ve gone forward” Hamling said.

From AFL: “I never really wanted to leave Perth. I still had a contract there, but it wasn’t as good as I would’ve liked. It was a bit disrespectful, to be honest.”

From Swans (on the same day as the AFL one dropped): "Yeah look I think I just wanted a fresh start I just wanted to get out of Perth to be honest."

I take my previous comments back, yikes that is grim reading.

Been a huge fan but it's getting to be a big problem , his run up doesn't look right and he has become a bit of a head case.
Small sample size as had only one shot, but run up looked better and not getting too close to the man. But then it skewed off the side lol

When you stick that Bombers graphic up, makes it hard for Melbourne teams to argue our request for an extra home game. 10 in a row is just absurd.

An extra derby might make sense. So both teams get an extra game with no travel.
An extra home game against a travelling team is an advantage to us. An extra derby would be the equivalent of one of those essendon games against another Melbourne team.

An extra derby is nothing. So maybe we get 2 consecutaive home games 3 times. How does that compare to 10 IN A ROW AT HOME? It doesn't, not even close.

this is insane, compared to what we have had to deal with

It’s horrendous cheating when you consider our fixture in comparison. That said, I really want the Bummers to make it to September as I feel like we would beat them comprehensively if we were to meet them over East.

But it’s 10 at home against (mostly)teams that are also playing at home.
