They won’t get the ball forward enough for it to be a concern!

They've beaten GWS too, so their team doesn't lack in capability.. just want the away win, will be huge for us.

Hopefully Hogan doesn’t recapture some form against us. He always seems to kick a bag against the Lions.
Yep, he's the one I'm worried about as well, I haven't watched any of the Dockers this year and he may be down on form but when on he can rip you apart.

It’s simplistic, but I think we’re defensively equipped to compete with any forward line as long as we’re pressuring and forcing aerial entries.

With our zone, it appears that any drop in pressure means we get get cut up by all but the most mediocre midfield/forward groups.

EDIT: that’s not a criticism of playing the zone- I think it’s just the tradeoff of doing so

That makes your son's name Quinlan Football.

Quinlan Wilson Football.
Just watch this space. royboys4eva has a young fella in the U8's who is a JET and Quinlan is playing "bottom age" and he is a GUN. Both come from Fitzroy / Brisbane families and both could be drafted under the Delusional Supporter Father Rule. Brisbane should start an 'Academy' at Bulleen Bullants, there's three kids who turn up in their Lions gear for the Under 8's each week and we used to have a few at Auskick too. Never seen so much Maroon and Blue. I think it is a TESTAMENT TO GOOD PARENTING!

was thinking about the Raynor situation and went back to goalkickers list to remind myself where he sat. He is equal 37th in the league for goalkicking - yes has had a lean 2-3 weeks, but he is in the top 40 in the league for the thing that wins you games. perhaps we are prepared to carry him for that purpose.

Lots of teams would kill for a player top 40 goals and top 30 for total shots on goal. In some respects carrying him this year is similar to carrying Hipwood over the last 2 years where he hasn't been as influential around the ground as he has this year.

Not saying I expect him to be playing this weekend but maybe this gives a feel for why he has played 9 games this year despite growing chorus of concerns on the board (myself included).

Here's a table of our goalkickers (note - for equal representation for 18 teams technically we should have 2 in the top 36 (which we do) but we also have 6 in the top 37!:

Btw. Table also highlights goalkicking yips as per other thread, but can't copy and paste table directly to comment in that thread so won't bother.

Was thinking same thing, he absolutely destroyed us last yr (im sure it was last yr) , But ball use, game style from Dees last year to Freo this yr is vastly different.
