Shouldn't be risking him either IMO, Grundy is a star sure but I'd rather Gawn against someone like the Dogs where he can completely take over the game versus the Pies with Grundy where they will likely nullify each other.

Yep, Goldstein is a star but he did very little on Sunday night. Even around the ground.

Jacko broke even in the ruck so his taps weren't critically to advantage, and McDonald around the ground tackled, and competed well in the air.

Grundy isn't playing like he was the last 2 years, hopefully we can do similar to negate him.

Taking nothing away from your win, but we're not fair dinkum and have officially entered the "who wants a 2021 & beyond contract" phase.

Goldy is making up the numbers, when he should be getting rested, but with 28 fit blokes on the list, including some very underdeveloped kids, we don't have much going in the luxury department at the moment.

It's a pity this shitty year didn't see Max & Todd go head to head under this new ruck format. We'll have to wait until next year.

Small point of interest, our last win against the Pies was without Gawn (QB 2017). Grundy dominated the hitouts that day but from memory we won the midfield battle.

The Tmac/Whacko Jacko tag team did well against Goldy. I'm not overly worried about Grundy's influence in the hitouts. Gives our inside mids a chance to earn their keep.

Just need to tag Grundy around the ground and ensure he doesn't dominate in the air across the park. I think Jacko and Tmac can nullify his influence - he's not in the greatest form at the moment.

Give Jacko a chance to learn against the best again and see what he's made of. I think he'll love it.

Don't like the thought of Omac against any of the pies forwards. Mihochec would torch him. They have a pretty small/ athletic forward line
